1. Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) launched a Flood Forecasting and Early Warning System (FEWS) for Kolkata City. It is also India’s first comprehensive city-level FEWS.

2. Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched an innovative initiative titled SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation).

3. According to Association of Mutual Funds of India’s (AMFI) statistics, Maharashtra tops the chart for state with the maximum penetration and Assets Under Management (AUM).

4.  E-commerce major Amazon has announced a new programme ‘Select’ in India to help emerging brands in the country get access to a suite of brand building tools and services.

5. Goa government has signed a MoU with Portugal in the field of water supply, waste water management and sanitation.

6.  Facebook has reported a major security breach in which accounts of 50 million users were accessed by unknown attackers. The attackers stole digital keys, called access tokens; the company uses to keep people logged in.
