1. Vijay Mallya became the first tycoon to be charged under a new anti-fraud law, with a court in Mumbai naming him as an offender under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018.
विजय माल्या एक नवीन फसवणूकीच्या कायद्याखाली आरोपपत्र दाखल करणारे पहिले फरार आर्थिक अपराधी ठरले आहेत. मुंबईतील कोर्टाने त्यांना फ्यूजिटिव्ह इकॉनॉमिक ऑफेंडर ऍक्ट, 2018 अंतर्गत अपराधी म्हणून नामांकित केले.

2. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled projects worth Rs 5,300 crore in Jodhpur.

3. As part of the Mission Shakti scheme, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced interest-free loans of up to Rs 3 lakh for the women self-help groups (WSHGs) in the state.

6. Andhra Pradesh emerged on top of Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI), Singapore’s 2018 Ease of Doing Business (EDB) Index ABC rankings for economies of 21 states of India, while Maharashtra and Delhi came in second and third place, respectively.

7. Nepal asked the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to declare newly circulated Indian currency notes of denominations higher than Rs.100 legal tender in the country.
नेपाळने भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (आरबीआय) कडे देशातील 100 कायदेशीर निविदाधारकांच्या नव्याने प्रचलित भारतीय चलन नोट्स घोषित करण्याची विनंती केली आहे.

8. Nine-day long international kite festival which marks the Uttarayan or Makar Sankranti, the day when winter season starts changing to summer and farmers welcome the approaching harvest season, kicked off at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

9. India won the four-match Test series against Australia 2-1 as the Sydney Test ended in a draw after the fifth day’s play was washed out due to rain. This is the first time ever that India has won a Test series in Australia.
पावसामुळे पाचव्या दिवसाचा खेळ संपल्यानंतर सिडनी कसोटी अनिर्णित झाल्यानंतर भारताने ऑस्ट्रेलियाविरुद्धच्या दोन कसोटी सामन्यांच्या मालिकेत 2-1 अशी मात केली. भारताने ऑस्ट्रेलियात कसोटी मालिका जिंकलीले ही पहिलीच वेळ आहे.
