1. A section of IDBI Bank officers has threatened to go on a six-day strike from Monday (July 16) in protest against the proposed acquisition of the state-owned lender by insurance behemoth LIC and wage-related issues, among others.
आयडीबीआय बँकेच्या अधिकाऱ्यांच्या एका विभागात सोमवारी (16 जुलै) पासून सहा दिवसांचा स्ट्राइक चालू होण्याची धमकी देण्यात आली आहे. एलआयसीने व मजुरीवरील समस्यांसह सरकारी मालकीच्या सावकारांच्या प्रस्तावित अधिग्रहणाला विरोध दर्शविला आहे.

2. BCW’s (Burson Cohn & Wolfe) Twiplomacy study 2018 identified PM Narendra Modi as the third most followed world leader on Twitter with 43 million followers on his personal account @NarendraModi, while Sushma Swaraj is the most followed female world leader, with 11 m followers.

5. Kalpesh Yagnik, the Group Editor of media house Dainik Bhaskar passed away at the age of 55 on 12th July 2018 in Indore.
