1. Addressing the nation on the 72nd Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi said, ‘India has registered its name as the sixth largest economy in the world.’ In 2013, India used to be counted as part of the ‘Fragile Five’ in the world. But today, India is seen as a destination for multi-billion dollar investments.
देशाला 72 व्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी संबोधित करताना पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी म्हणाले की, भारताने जगातील सर्वात मोठ्या अर्थव्यवस्था म्हणून आपले नाव नोंदवले आहे. 2013 मध्ये, भारताला ‘निग्रही पाच’ म्हणून ओळखले जात असे. पण आज भारताला बहु-अब्ज डॉलरच्या गुंतवणुकीसाठी एक गंतव्यस्थान म्हणून पाहिले जाते.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (PUNJAB) or Ayushman Bharat scheme will be launched on 25th September.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींनी घोषणा केली की प्रधान मंत्री जन आरोग्य अभियान (पंजाब) किंवा आयुष्मन भारत योजना 25 सप्टेंबरला सुरू होईल.

3. The Uttar Pradesh government has approached the Centre for its approval to rename Bareilly airport to ‘Nath Nagri’, which is believed to be an ancient name of the city which had worshippers of Lord Shiva.
बरेली विमानतळाचे नाव ‘नाथ नागरी’ असे नामकरण करण्यासाठी उत्तर प्रदेश सरकारने केंद्र सरकारकडे विनंती केली आहे. हे नाव शहराचे एक प्राचीन नाव आहे असे मानले जाते जे भगवान शिवचे उपासक होते.

4. Government of India has released 470 Million Rupees grant for Terai road Project in Nepal.
भारत सरकारने नेपाळमध्ये तराई रोड प्रकल्पासाठी 470 कोटी रुपये अनुदान जारी केले आहे.

5.  Special film festival on theme “Freedom Struggle & Freedom Fighters” was conducted in Mumbai.
मुंबईमध्ये “स्वातंत्र्य संग्राम आणि स्वातंत्र्य सेनानी” वर विशेष चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.

6. Madhya Pradesh Government has observed Shaheed Samman Diwas on 14th August in all districts of the state.
मध्यप्रदेश शासनाने 14 ऑगस्ट रोजी राज्यातील सर्व जिल्ह्यांमध्ये शहीद सम्मान दिवस साजरा केला.

7. 2nd meeting of India-Afghanistan Joint Working Group on Development Cooperation (JWG-DC) was held in Kabul.
काबुलमध्ये भारत- अफगाणिस्तानच्या संयुक्त कार्यकारी दल (जेडब्ल्यूजी-डीसी) यांची दुसरी बैठक झाली.

8.  Iran has unveiled the next generation Fateh Mobin short-range ballistic missile.
इराणने पुढील पिढीतील फतेह मोबीन शॉर्ट-रेंज बॅलिस्टिक मिसाईलचे अनावरण केले आहे.

9. Former Indian Spinner Ramesh Powar has been named as the head coach of the women’s national team till the ICC World T20.
भारतीय संघाचे माजी फिरकीपटू रमेश पोवार यांना आयसीसी टी -20 विश्वचषक स्पर्धेपर्यंत महिला संघाचे मुख्य प्रशिक्षक म्हणून नामांकन मिळाले आहे.

10. Sunil Chhetri has been chosen the ‘Best Sportsperson of the Year’ at the Calcutta Sports Journalists’ Club annual awards.
कलकत्ता स्पोट्र्स जर्नालिस्ट्स क्लब वार्षिक पुरस्कारांमध्ये सुनील छेत्री यांना सर्वोत्कृष्ट खेळाडू म्हणून निवडण्यात आले आहे.
