1. The Lok Sabha passed the Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018′
लोकसभेने ट्रॅफिकिंग ऑफ पर्सन्स (प्रोव्हन्शन, प्रोटेक्शन अँड रिहॅबिलिटेशन) विधेयक, 2018 मंजूर केले आहे.

2. The 6th India-UK Science & Innovation Council (SIC) meeting held in New Delhi discussed a range of issues on S&T cooperation between the two countries
नवी दिल्लीत झालेल्या 6 व्या भारत-ब्रिटन सायन्स अॅण्ड इनोव्हेशन कौन्सिल (एसआयसी) च्या बैठकीत दोन्ही देशांमधील एस अँड टी सहकार्याविषयी अनेक विषयांवर चर्चा झाली.

3. The government gave final approval to the mega merger of Vodafone and Idea Cellular. It will create the country’s largest mobile operator with 35% market share and around 430 million subscribers.
दूरसंचार विभागाने (डीओटी) व्होडाफोन इंडिया आणि आयडिया सेल्यूलरच्या विलीनीकरणास मंजुरी दिली आहे.  यामुळे 35 टक्के बाजारपेठेतील देशभरातील 430 दशलक्ष ग्राहकांसह देशातील सर्वात मोठा मोबाईल ऑपरेटर तयार होईल.

4. Invest India and Business France have signed a MoU to promote investment facilitation and cooperation between startups of India and France.
भारत आणि बिझिनेस फ्रान्स यांनी भारत आणि फ्रान्स या देशांच्या सुरवातीच्या  गुंतवणूकीची सुविधा आणि सहकार्य वाढवण्यासाठी एक सामंजस्य करार केला आहे.

5. West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi inaugurated the 18th International Children’s Film Festival in the state. 36 films from 17 countries would be screened in this Festival.
पश्चिम बंगालचे राज्यपाल के एन त्रिपाठी यांनी 18 व्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय चिल्ड्रन फिल्म फेस्टिवलचे उद्घाटन केले. या महोत्सवात 17 देशांतील 36 चित्रपट प्रदर्शित केले जाणार आहेत.

6. President Ram Nath Kovind launched the Chhattisgarh government’s ‘Sanchar Kranti Yojana’. Under this, free smartphones will be distributed to 50 lakh people in the state.
राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद यांनी छत्तीसगढ सरकारची ‘संचार क्रांति योजना’ सुरू केली. या अंतर्गत राज्यातील 50 लाख लोकांना मुक्त स्मार्टफोन वितरित केले जातील.

7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 10th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. The theme of this year’s summit is, ‘BRICS in Africa – collaboration for inclusive growth and shared prosperity in the 4th industrial revolution’.
जोहान्सबर्ग, दक्षिण आफ्रिकेत 10 व्या ब्रिक्स परिषदेस पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी उपस्थित होते. यावर्षीच्या शिखर परिषदेची थीम म्हणजे ‘ब्रिक्स ऑफ आफ्रिका – समावेशक विकासासाठी सहयोग आणि चौथ्या औद्योगिक क्रांतीमध्ये समृद्धीसंबधीचा सहभाग’.

8. On Kargil Vijay Diwas (26 July), President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the martyrs of Kargil.
कारगिल विजय दिन (26 जुलै), राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद, उपाध्यक्ष एम. व्यंकय्या नायडू आणि पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी कारगिलच्या शहीदांना श्रद्धांजली अर्पण केली.

9. Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu is appointed as the Chancellor of Pondicherry Central University by the President, Ram Nath Kovind, in his capacity as Visitor of the university.
उपाध्यक्ष एम. व्यंकय्या नायडू यांची नियुक्ती पांडिचेरी सेंट्रल युनिव्हर्सिटीच्या कुलगुरू म्हणून, रामनाथ कोविंद यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली विद्यापीठातर्फे करण्यात आली आहे.

10. Veteran sports journalist Swapan Sarkar died. He was 67.
अनुभवी क्रीडा पत्रकार स्वपन सरकार यांचे निधन झाले. ते 67 वर्षांचे होते.
