1. The Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation Shri Nitin Gadkari and Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan will lay the foundation for India’s largest Dry Dock at Cochin Shipyard in Kerala on 30 October.

3. According to a new Standard Chartered study-‘The Emerging Affluent Study 2018– Climbing the Prosperity Ladder’, India is Asia’s most investment savvy economy. The survey markets were: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, the UAE.

4. World’s largest airport terminal under one roof with a capacity to serve 90 million passengers was opened in Istanbul, Turkey.

7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil Sardar Patel’s statue, the world’s largest, on Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary on October 31 in Gujarat. The statue is a Rs.3,000 crore project.
गुजरातमध्ये 31 ऑक्टोबर रोजी वल्लभभाई पटेल यांच्या जयंतीच्या दिवशी सरदार पटेल यांच्या जगातील सर्वात मोठ्या  पुतळ्याचे अनावरण  पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या हस्ते होणार आहे. पुतळा 3000 कोटी रुपयांचा प्रकल्प आहे.

8. World Health Organization’s (WHO) report on most polluted cities 2018 said 14 out of the 20 most polluted cities in the world are in India. WHO reported that Delhi topped the charts of bad air quality nationally.
2018 मध्ये सर्वाधिक प्रदूषित शहरांवरील जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेच्या (डब्ल्यूएचओ) अहवालात म्हटले आहे की जगातील 20 सर्वात प्रदूषित शहरांपैकी 14 देश भारतात आहेत. डब्ल्यूएचओने असे म्हटले आहे की राष्ट्रीय पातळीवरील खराब वायू गुणवत्तेच्या यादीत दिल्ली आघाडीवर आहे.

9. Indian table tennis player Ayhika Mukherjee has won a silver medal in the under-21 women’s singles category of the ITTF Challenge Belgium Open.
ITTF चॅलेंज बेल्जियम ओपनच्या अंडर 21 महिला एकल वर्गात भारतीय टेबल टेनिस खेळाडू अहिका मुखर्जी ने  रौप्य पदक जिंकले आहे.

10. Former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana has passed away. He was 82.
दिल्लीचे माजी मुख्यमंत्री मदन लाल खुराना यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 82 वर्षांचे होते.
