The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CBT-1 (Stage I) is a screening test with Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science — 75 questions, 60 minutes, 75 marks, and 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer. General Awareness and Current Affairs have been completely dropped from CBT-1. CBT-1 marks are used only for shortlisting to CBT-2 and do not count in the final panel.
Practice in English, Marathi and Hindi with Quick Practice, Daily Test and Full Mock modes. Questions follow the latest CBT-1 syllabus (Revised). Full mock uses a balanced CBT-1 practice split (20 + 25 + 30) with difficulty mix 40% easy, 45% medium, 15% hard.
Exam Pattern is revised from 2026. CBT-1 now covers Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science only — General Awareness and Current Affairs have been dropped.

Mathematics: Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern, etc.
Mental Ability: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement–Arguments and Assumptions, etc.
General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level.
Not in CBT-1: General Awareness and Current Affairs have been completely dropped from CBT-1.
Selection stages: CBT-1 (screening) → CBT-2 (Part A + Part B) → CBAT → Document Verification → Medical Examination. Negative marking is 1/3 in CBT-1 and CBT-2; CBAT has no negative marking.
