Is EBC and EWS category are same ? Which certificate should i present while Document verification ?

Both the terms Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) are both similar.The definition of Economicaly Weaker Section (EWS) is actually defined by the Government of India whereas Economically Backward Class (EBC) varies in different states as well as institutions.
