‘युनिफाइड पेन्शन स्कीम’ (UPS) ही केंद्र सरकारच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी ‘नॅशनल पेन्शन सिस्टम’ (NPS) अंतर्गत असलेली एक योजना आहे. जुलै 2026 च्या मध्यापर्यंत, नवीन रुजू झालेले कर्मचारी, सध्याचे कर्मचारी आणि निवृत्त पेन्शनधारक अशा 1.18 लाखांहून अधिक केंद्र सरकारी कर्मचाऱ्यांनी या योजनेचा लाभ घेतला होता. |
| 2. Assam on 3 August 2026 released an interim flood relief of about ₹160 crore to families affected by recent floods in Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Golaghat districts. Through the Direct Benefit Transfer mechanism, the assistance was directly transferred to bank accounts and about 75,000 worst affected families received ₹15,000 each. 03 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी आसाम सरकारने शिवसागर, चराईदेव, जोरहाट आणि गोलाघाट जिल्ह्यांतील अलीकडील पूरग्रस्त कुटुंबांसाठी सुमारे 160 कोटी रुपयांची तात्पुरती पूर-मदत जाहीर केली. ‘थेट लाभ हस्तांतरण’ (Direct Benefit Transfer) प्रणालीद्वारे ही मदत थेट बँक खात्यांमध्ये जमा करण्यात आली आणि सर्वाधिक फटका बसलेल्या सुमारे 75,000 कुटुंबांना प्रत्येकी 15,000 रुपये मिळाले. |

The BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group will convene for its second meeting and the BRICS Expert Network on Asset Recovery will convene for its second meeting in Hyderabad on 4 and 5 August 2026. The meetings are being organised by the Department of Personnel and Training under India’s BRICS Presidency for 2026. BRICS लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक कार्यगटाची दुसरी बैठक बोलावली जाईल आणि BRICS तज्ञ नेटवर्क ऑन ऍसेट रिकव्हरी 4 आणि 5 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी हैदराबाद येथे दुसरी बैठक बोलावेल. या बैठका 2026 साठी भारताच्या BRICS अध्यक्षतेखालील कार्मिक आणि प्रशिक्षण विभागाकडून आयोजित केल्या जात आहेत. |
| 4. Indian Air Force concluded Exercise ROTOR CLAP III at Pokhran Field Firing Range, Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, 1-2 August 2026. The rotary-wing exercise was based on the theme of Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems and involved multiple helicopter units of the IAF. भारतीय हवाई दलाने 1-2 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी राजस्थानमधील जैसलमेर जिल्ह्यातील पोखरण फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज येथे ‘एक्सरसाइज रोटर क्लॅप 3’ (Exercise ROTOR CLAP III) संपन्न केला. ‘काउंटर-अनमॅन्ड एरियल सिस्टिम्स’ (मानवरहित हवाई प्रणालींना रोखणे/प्रतिबंध करणे) या संकल्पनेवर आधारित असलेल्या या ‘रोटरी-विंग’ (हेलिकॉप्टर-आधारित) सरावात हवाई दलाच्या अनेक हेलिकॉप्टर तुकड्यांनी सहभाग घेतला. |
| 5. The fifth and last ship under Indian Navy’s Diving Support Craft Project, DSC A24 was launched at the Titagarh Rail Systems Limited shipyard in Kolkata on 1 August 2026. The five-ship programme was contracted by the Ministry of Defence on 12 February 2021 and delivered in around five and a half years. भारतीय नौदलाच्या ‘डायव्हिंग सपोर्ट क्राफ्ट’ (DSC) प्रकल्पांतर्गत पाचवी आणि शेवटची नौका, ‘DSC A24’, 01 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी कोलकाता येथील ‘टिटागड रेल सिस्टम्स लिमिटेड’च्या गोदीत (शिपयार्डमध्ये) कार्यान्वित करण्यात आली (लाँच करण्यात आली). पाच नौकांच्या या प्रकल्पाचा कंत्राट संरक्षण मंत्रालयाने 12 फेब्रुवारी 2021 रोजी दिला होता आणि हा प्रकल्प सुमारे साडेपाच वर्षांत पूर्ण करण्यात आला. |

India to spend Rs 45,000 cr in rail infrastructure along borders with China, Pakistan, Bangladesh The programme includes new tracks, platforms and strengthening of the network in border states and is expected to be implemented in the next 18 to 24 months. भारत चीन, पाकिस्तान आणि बांगलादेश यांच्या सीमावर्ती भागांत रेल्वे पायाभूत सुविधांसाठी 45,000 कोटी रुपये खर्च करणार आहे. या कार्यक्रमात सीमावर्ती राज्यांमध्ये नवीन रेल्वे मार्ग व प्लॅटफॉर्म उभारणे आणि रेल्वे जाळे बळकट करणे यांचा समावेश असून, याची अंमलबजावणी पुढील 18 ते 24 महिन्यांत अपेक्षित आहे. |
| 7. 3 August 2026 : Vishwesh Negi, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 2002 batch has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He is the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and is expected to take up his assignment in Tehran shortly. 3 ऑगस्ट 2026 : 2002 च्या तुकडीतील भारतीय परराष्ट्र सेवेचे अधिकारी विश्वेश नेगी यांची इस्लामिक रिपब्लिक ऑफ इराणमधील भारताचे पुढील राजदूत म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. ते सध्या नवी दिल्ली येथील परराष्ट्र व्यवहार मंत्रालयात सहसचिव म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत आणि लवकरच ते तेहरानमध्ये आपला पदभार स्वीकारतील अशी अपेक्षा आहे. |
| 8. To commemorate 79 years of India’s Independence, the National Cadet Corps organised Cyclothon 2026 at New Delhi on 2 August 2026. The event started and concluded at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and had 79 NCC cadets undertaking a symbolic 79-km ride. भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्याची 79 वर्षे साजरी करण्यासाठी, नॅशनल कॅडेट कोर्प्सने (NCC) 2 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे ‘सायक्लोथॉन 2026 ‘चे आयोजन केले होते. मेजर ध्यानचंद नॅशनल स्टेडियमवरून सुरू होऊन तिथेच संपन्न झालेल्या या उपक्रमात 79 एनसीसी कॅडेट्सनी 79 किलोमीटरची प्रतिकात्मक सायकल रॅली पूर्ण केली. |
