1. Assembly Bill 1267, which outlaws child marriage and establishes 18 years as the minimum age to marry or enter into domestic partnerships without exceptions, was signed into law by California, making it the first state in the U.S. to do so. The law was signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom on 30 September 2026 and will go into effect on 1 January 2027.

कॅलिफोर्नियाने ‘असेंब्ली बिल 1267’ वर स्वाक्षरी करून त्याला कायद्याचे स्वरूप दिले आहे; या कायद्याद्वारे बालविवाहास बंदी घालण्यात आली असून, विवाह किंवा ‘डोमेस्टिक पार्टनरशिप’ (घरगुती भागीदारी) करण्यासाठी कोणत्याही अपवादाशिवाय किमान वय 18 वर्षे निश्चित करण्यात आले आहे. असे करणारे कॅलिफोर्निया हे अमेरिकेतील पहिले राज्य ठरले आहे. कॅलिफोर्नियाचे गव्हर्नर गॅव्हिन न्यूसम यांनी 30 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी या कायद्यावर स्वाक्षरी केली आणि हा कायदा 01 जानेवारी 2027पासून लागू होईल.

2. Switzerland’s glaciers lost more than 5 percent of their total ice volume in 2026 after a winter with minimal snowfall and a summer of record heatwaves. The Rhône Glacier and Clariden Glacier experienced their greatest melt on record in 2026, as did the Aletsch Glacier, Switzerland’s largest glacier.

3. The No. 17 Squadron of the Indian Air Force, the Golden Arrows, completed 75 years on 1 Oct 2026. The squadron was raised on 1 October 1951 at Air Force Station Ambala and Flight Lieutenant D. L. Springett was the first commanding officer.

भारतीय वायुसेनेच्या ‘गोल्डन ॲरोज़’ (Golden Arrows) म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या 17 व्या स्क्वॉड्रनने 1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी 75 वर्षे पूर्ण केली. या स्क्वॉड्रनची स्थापना 1 ऑक्टोबर 1951 रोजी अंबाला येथील वायुसेना तळावर करण्यात आली होती आणि फ्लाईट लेफ्टनंट डी. एल. स्प्रिंगेट हे त्याचे पहिले कमांडिंग ऑफिसर होते.

4. The People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) 2026-27, with the theme of “Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas” will be launched across India on 2nd October 2026. The campaign will kick-start the process for Gram Panchayats to prepare Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs) for financial year 2027-28.

“सर्वांची योजना, सर्वांचा विकास” (सबकी योजना, सबका विकास) या संकल्पनेवर आधारित ‘पीपल्स प्लॅन कॅम्पेन’ (PPC) 2026-27 ची सुरुवात 02 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी संपूर्ण भारतात केली जाईल. या मोहिमेद्वारे ग्रामपंचायतींसाठी 2027-28 या आर्थिक वर्षाकरिता ‘ग्रामपंचायत विकास आराखडे’ (GPDPs) तयार करण्याच्या प्रक्रियेची सुरुवात होईल.

5. The Securities and Exchange Board of India has given the National Stock Exchange of India a No Objection Certificate on October 1, 2026, to start futures contracts based on a corporate bond index. The proposed product is subject to approval of the Reserve Bank of India and will be introduced in the exchange traded fixed income derivatives segment in India on receipt of necessary clearances

भारतीय रोखे आणि विनिमय मंडळाने (सेबी) 1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी ‘नॅशनल स्टॉक एक्सचेंज ऑफ इंडिया’ला कॉर्पोरेट बाँड निर्देशांकावर आधारित ‘फ्युचर्स कॉन्ट्रॅक्ट्स’ सुरू करण्यासाठी ‘ना-हरकत प्रमाणपत्र’ (NOC) दिले आहे. प्रस्तावित उत्पादनासाठी भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँकेची मंजुरी आवश्यक असून, आवश्यक परवानग्या मिळाल्यानंतर ते भारतातील ‘एक्सचेंज-ट्रेडेड फिक्स्ड इन्कम डेरिव्हेटिव्ह्ज’ विभागात सादर केले जाईल.

6. Narendra Bhooshan is an Indian Administrative Service officer of 1992 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He assumed the office of Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on 1 October 2026. Tanmay Kumar, an IAS officer of the 1993 Rajasthan cadre, superannuated on the same date and was succeeded by him as he was appointed to the post on 30 September 2026.

नरेंद्र भूषण हे उत्तर प्रदेश केडरचे 1992 च्या तुकडीतील भारतीय प्रशासकीय सेवेतील (IAS) अधिकारी आहेत. त्यांनी 01 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी पर्यावरण, वन आणि हवामान बदल मंत्रालयाचे सचिव म्हणून पदभार स्वीकारला. राजस्थान केडरचे 1993 च्या तुकडीतील आयएएस अधिकारी तन्मय कुमार त्याच दिवशी सेवानिवृत्त झाले आणि 30 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी या पदावर नियुक्ती झाल्यामुळे भूषण यांनी त्यांची जागा घेतली.

7. Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd received Reserve Bank of India approval on 1 October 2026 for the appointment of Anup Kumar Saha as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. His three-year term will start from 1 January 2027 and he will take over from Ashok Vaswani whose term ends on 31 December 2026.

कोटक महिंद्रा बँक लिमिटेडला अनूप कुमार साहा यांची व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक आणि मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यासाठी 01 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँकेची मंजुरी मिळाली. त्यांचा तीन वर्षांचा कार्यकाळ 01 जानेवारी 2027 पासून सुरू होईल आणि ते अशोक वासवानी यांच्याकडून पदभार स्वीकारतील; वासवानी यांचा कार्यकाळ 31 डिसेंबर 2026 रोजी संपत आहे.

8. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Centenary Celebrations “Manthan” on 30 September, 2026 and 1 October, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The Commission was established in 1926 and the centenary program was a celebration of its 100 years. The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 1 October 2026.

नवी दिल्लीतील ‘भारत मंडपम’ येथे 30 सप्टेंबर 2026 आणि 01 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाचा (UPSC) शताब्दी सोहळा म्हणजेच ‘मंथन’ आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. या आयोगाची स्थापना 1926 मध्ये झाली होती आणि हा शताब्दी कार्यक्रम आयोगाच्या 100 वर्षांच्या वाटचालीचा उत्सव होता. 01 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी या कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थिती लावली.
