1. The Government of India, Department of Commerce, has extended the timelines under Component-II of the scheme RELIEF (Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) to 2 October 2026. The extension has been notified vide Notification No. 37/2026-27 dated 30 September 2026 and the validity for eligible shipments extended upto 31 March 2027.

भारत सरकारच्या वाणिज्य विभागाने ‘रिलीफ’ (RELIEF – Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) या योजनेच्या ‘घटक-2’ (Component-II) अंतर्गत असलेल्या मुदती 2 ऑक्टोबर 2026 पर्यंत वाढवल्या आहेत. या मुदतवाढीबाबत 30 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजीच्या अधिसूचना क्रमांक 37/2026-27 द्वारे सूचित करण्यात आले असून, पात्र मालवाहू शिपमेंट्ससाठी (shipments) योजनेची वैधता 31 मार्च 2027 पर्यंत वाढवण्यात आली आहे.

2. The U.S. Navy on Oct. 1, 2026, awarded a multi-year production contract for the Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) interceptor missile to RTX subsidiary Raytheon. The deal is worth up to $24.4 billion and runs for five years with a two-year extension option, the company said.

1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी अमेरिकन नौदलाने ‘स्टँडर्ड मिसाईल-6’ (SM-6) या इंटरसेप्टर क्षेपणास्त्राच्या उत्पादनासाठी RTX ची उपकंपनी असलेल्या ‘रेथिऑन’ला (Raytheon) बहु-वर्षीय कंत्राट दिले. हे कंत्राट 24.4 अब्ज डॉलर्सपर्यंतच्या मूल्याचे असून, त्याची मुदत पाच वर्षे आहे; तसेच यात आणखी दोन वर्षे मुदतवाढ देण्याचा पर्यायही समाविष्ट आहे, असे कंपनीने सांगितले.

3. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority helped export 1 metric ton of popped makhana from Purnea, Bihar, to Greece on October 2, 2026. The consignment was shipped from Mundra Port, India to Piraeus Port, Greece through Indo Global Export, Belouri, Purnea and S. S. Foods Exports Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.

‘ॲग्रीकल्चरल अँड प्रोसेस्ड फूड प्रॉडक्ट्स एक्सपोर्ट डेव्हलपमेंट ऑथॉरिटी’ने (APEDA) 2 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी बिहारमधील पूर्णिया येथून ग्रीसला 1 मेट्रिक टन ‘पॉप्ड मखाना’ (फुगवलेले मखाने) निर्यात करण्यास मदत केली. हा माल ‘इंडो ग्लोबल एक्सपोर्ट’ (बेलौरी, पूर्णिया) आणि ‘एस. एस. फूड्स एक्सपोर्ट्स प्रा. लि.’ (नवी दिल्ली) यांच्या माध्यमातून भारतातील मुंद्रा बंदरावरून ग्रीसमधील पिरायस बंदराकडे पाठवण्यात आला.

4. Anup Bagchi was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Bank by Reserve Bank of India with effect from 1 October 2026. His three-year term will begin on October 27, 2026, when the current term of Sashidhar Jagdishan ends on October 26, 2026.

भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँकेने अनुप बागची यांची 1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 पासून HDFC बँकेचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक आणि मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आहे. शशीधर जगदीशन यांचा सध्याचा कार्यकाळ 26 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी संपल्यानंतर, बागची यांचा तीन वर्षांचा कार्यकाळ 27 ऑक्टोबर 2026 पासून सुरू होईल.

5. On 2 October 2026, India officially listed 28 locations and geographical features on the official Survey of India maps of Ladakh. The revised map was prepared in consultation with the Union Territory administration and it was uploaded on the official Survey of India website.

6. Scientists reexamined members of the genus Anchiale and identified two new species of Australian stick insect in 2026. The study also brought back to life one previously unrecognized species and revised the group from two to five distinct species.

शास्त्रज्ञांनी 2026 मध्ये अँकिआले (Anchiale) प्रजातीच्या सदस्यांची पुनर्तपासणी केली आणि ऑस्ट्रेलियन स्टिक इन्सेक्टच्या दोन नवीन प्रजाती ओळखल्या. या अभ्यासाने पूर्वी अज्ञात असलेल्या एका प्रजातीला पुनरुज्जीवित केले आणि या गटातील प्रजातींची संख्या दोनवरून पाचपर्यंत सुधारित केली.

7. Mahindra Group and Brazilian aerospace company Embraer have selected Nagpur in Maharashtra as the proposed location for a Final Assembly Line for the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft. The plan is linked to the Indian Air Force Medium Transport Aircraft program under which India could buy 60 to 80 aircraft.

महिंद्रा ग्रुप आणि ब्राझीलची एरोस्पेस कंपनी ‘एम्ब्रेअर’ (Embraer) यांनी ‘सी-390 मिलेनियम’ (C-390 Millennium) या लष्करी मालवाहू विमानांच्या ‘अंतिम असेंब्ली लाइन’साठी (Final Assembly Line) महाराष्ट्रातील नागपूरची प्रस्तावित ठिकाण म्हणून निवड केली आहे. ही योजना भारतीय हवाई दलाच्या ‘मध्यम मालवाहू विमान’ (Medium Transport Aircraft) कार्यक्रमाशी संबंधित आहे; या कार्यक्रमांतर्गत भारत 60 ते 80 विमाने खरेदी करू शकतो.

8. NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-13 launch on 1 October, 2026 at 11:10 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The mission carried four crew members to the International Space Station for a six-month science mission aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft named Grace, launched on a Falcon 9 rocket.

फ्लोरिडातील केप कॅनव्हेरल स्पेस फोर्स स्टेशनवरील ‘स्पेस लाँच कॉम्प्लेक्स 40’ येथून 1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 रोजी सकाळी 11:10 वाजता (EDT) नासा (NASA) आणि स्पेसएक्स (SpaceX) यांच्या ‘क्रू-13’ (Crew-13) मोहिमेचे प्रक्षेपण झाले. ‘फाल्कन 9’ (Falcon 9) रॉकेटद्वारे प्रक्षेपित करण्यात आलेल्या ‘ग्रेस’ (Grace) नावाच्या ‘क्रू ड्रॅगन’ (Crew Dragon) अंतराळयानातून चार अंतराळवीर आंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतराळ स्थानकावर सहा महिन्यांच्या वैज्ञानिक मोहिमेसाठी रवाना झाले.
