| 1. The “Grand Order of Mugunghwa,” South Korea’s highest national honour, has been given to U.S. President Donald Trump for his “role as a peacemaker” on the Korean peninsula. The award ceremony took held in Gyeongju, which was next to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, where President Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung. | 2. UN Tourism has named the winners of its fifth annual “Best Tourism Villages” awards. These awards honour 52 rural places around the world for their creativity, environmental friendliness, and efforts to protect their cultures. The prizes, which were announced in Huzhou City, China, go to communities in 65 member states that have used responsible tourism to help rural areas grow. | 3. Uber Technologies has announced an ambitious partnership with Nvidia to create and deploy a worldwide fleet of 100,000 self-driving robotaxis. This is a big step forward for the commercialization of driverless transportation. The goal of the alliance is to start using the technology on a wide scale by 2027. | 7. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has proposed the creation of a new district called Kalyan Singh Nagar in commemoration of previous Chief Minister Kalyan Singh. The new district will be made up of sections of Aligarh and Bulandshahr.
