| 1. India is the first country in the world to make bio-bitumen for road construction on a commercial scale. This is a big step forward for building infrastructure that is good for the environment. | 3. The Ministry of Textiles and the Government of Assam are putting on the National Textiles Ministers’ Conference 2026, which will start on January 8 in Guwahati. | 4. The first India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM)–2026 will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 21 to 23, 2026. The Election Commission of India will host the event. | 6. On Monday, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched the new edition of “History That India Ignored,” which was written by veteran journalist and Asian News International Chairman Prem Prakash. | 7. The Centre has given the “Nagauri Ashwagandha” Geographical Indication (GI) tag, which gives the Nagaur district of Rajasthan a unique agricultural identity around the world.
