| 1. India recently held an important naval exercise at the Maritime Warfare Center in Kochi as part of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS). | 3. The Telangana Assembly has passed the “Telangana Employees Accountability and Monitoring of Parental Support Bill, 2026,” which is meant to make older people’s financial security stronger. | 6. The Reserve Bank of India has released its Payments Vision 2028, which focuses on making the banking system more user-friendly and flexible. The first meeting of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council–Research Advisory Board (BRIC-RAB) took place on March 27 and 28, 2026, at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology in Faridabad. This was a major event for India’s biotechnology sector. The Department of Biotechnology set up BRIC as an apex autonomous body. It brings together 14 independent institutes into a single framework to improve coordination, innovation, and research that is focused on a specific mission. बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी संशोधन आणि नवोपक्रम परिषदेच्या–संशोधन सल्लागार मंडळाची (BRIC-RAB) पहिली बैठक २७ आणि २८ मार्च २०२६ रोजी फरिदाबाद येथील ‘प्रादेशिक बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी केंद्रा’मध्ये पार पडली. भारताच्या बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी क्षेत्रासाठी ही एक अत्यंत महत्त्वाची घटना होती. बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी विभागाने ‘BRIC’ची स्थापना एक सर्वोच्च स्वायत्त संस्था म्हणून केली आहे. विशिष्ट मोहिमेवर केंद्रित असलेले संशोधन, नवोपक्रम आणि समन्वय यामध्ये सुधारणा घडवून आणण्याच्या उद्देशाने, ही संस्था १४ स्वतंत्र संस्थांना एकाच छत्राखाली एकत्रित आणते. |
