| 2. Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal is visiting India on an official visit from 5 June to 7 June 2026. | 3. On 4 June 2026, Economist Neelkanth Mishra was appointed as India’s Executive Director at World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C., United States. He will be in office for three years from the day of taking charge. | 4. India will have a phased rollout of ethanol dispensing infrastructure, with 500 flex-fuel retail pumps targeted by end of 2026 and about 5,000 outlets by end of 2027, it said. | 5. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Released Annual Report 2025-26. | 6. The Mega Science Vision-2035 (MSV) Report on Climate Research has raised an alarm that India has lost its capacity to build indigenous scientific instruments significantly. | 7. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal (born 1958) was an Indian shot putter and an Arjuna Award winner. He died in Chandigarh on 1 June 2026, at the age of 67. He won a bronze medal at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi and won several medals at the Asian Athletics Championships. बलविंदर सिंग धालीवाल (जन्म 1958) हे भारतीय शॉट पुटर आणि अर्जुन पुरस्कार विजेते होते. 1 जून 2026२६ रोजी चंदीगड येथे वयाच्या 67 व्या वर्षी त्यांचे निधन झाले. त्यांनी नवी दिल्ली येथे झालेल्या 1982 च्या आशियाई क्रीडा स्पर्धेत कांस्यपदक जिंकले होते, तसेच आशियाई ॲथलेटिक्स चॅम्पियनशिपमध्येही अनेक पदके मिळवली होती. |
| 8. Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French artist, director and author of the graphic novel Persepolis, died on 4 June 2026, aged 56. She was born in 1969 in Rasht, Iran, became a French citizen in 2006 and lived in Paris until her death. इराणी-फ्रेंच कलाकार, दिग्दर्शक आणि ‘पर्सेपोलिस’ या ग्राफिक कादंबरीच्या लेखिका मार्जान सत्रापी यांचे ४ जून २०२६ रोजी वयाच्या ५६ व्या वर्षी निधन झाले. त्यांचा जन्म १९६९ मध्ये इराणमधील रश्त येथे झाला होता; २००६ मध्ये त्या फ्रान्सच्या नागरिक बनल्या आणि मृत्यूपर्यंत पॅरिसमध्ये वास्तव्यास होत्या. |
