The National Family Health Survey-6 (NFHS-6), which used data from 2023-24 and was released on May 29, 2026, recorded India’s lowest Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of 0.9 in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. | 2. Footprints and handprints found in the Grotta della Bàsura in Toirano, northern Italy, date to between 14,000 and 14,400 years ago. | 3. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has inked a 10-year marine services agreement for the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project in Argentina, on 8 June 2026. The contract has an indicative investment commitment of USD 70 million and is APSEZ’s maiden entry into the South American market. अदानी पोर्ट्स अँड स्पेशल इकॉनॉमिक झोन लिमिटेड (APSEZ) ने अर्जेंटिनातील पहिल्या लिक्विफाइड नॅचरल गॅस (LNG) निर्यात प्रकल्पासाठी 8 जून 2026 रोजी 10 वर्षांचा सागरी सेवा करार केला आहे. या करारांतर्गत ७० दशलक्ष अमेरिकन डॉलर्सच्या गुंतवणुकीची संभाव्य वचनबद्धता असून, या माध्यमातून APSEZ दक्षिण अमेरिकेच्या बाजारपेठेत पहिल्यांदाच प्रवेश करत आहे. |

On 26 May 2026, the Indian Navy issued an Expression of Interest through the Naval Armament Inspectorate in Goa for the design, development and manufacture of indigenous 80-mm aero rockets for MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB carrier-based fighters. | 5. Union Home Minister Amit Shah to launch Land Port Management System (LPMS) in New Delhi on 9 June 2026. LPMS is a digital platform for managing land ports and cross-border movement of cargo and passengers. केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह 9 जून 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे लँड पोर्ट मॅनेजमेंट सिस्टीम (LPMS) लाँच करणार आहेत. | 6. West Bengal will join the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Health Authority in New Delhi on 8 June 2026. The scheme will be implemented in the 36th State or Union Territory and the rollout is scheduled to begin in July 2026. पश्चिम बंगाल ‘आयुष्मान भारत प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजने’त (AB PM-JAY) सहभागी होणार असून, 8 जून 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे ‘राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य प्राधिकरणा’सोबत सामंजस्य करारावर स्वाक्षरी करणार आहे. ही योजना 36 वे राज्य किंवा केंद्रशासित प्रदेश म्हणून येथे राबवली जाईल आणि तिची अंमलबजावणी जुलै 2026 मध्ये सुरू होणार आहे. |

For Uranus, scientists studying moon dynamics, ring structure and planetary formation models examined if there were other giant planets in the early Solar System which were ejected into interstellar space.
