| 1. The Delhi Cabinet led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta approved the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 on 29 June 2026. The policy will be valid from 1 July 2026 to 31 March 2030 and has an estimated investment of around Rs 15,000 crore for electric mobility. Advertisement
मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील दिल्ली मंत्रिमंडळाने 29 जून 2026 रोजी ‘दिल्ली इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन धोरण 2026’ ला मंजुरी दिली. हे धोरण 1 जुलै 2026 ते 31 मार्च 2030 या कालावधीसाठी लागू असेल आणि यामध्ये इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटीसाठी सुमारे 15,000 कोटी रुपयांच्या गुंतवणुकीचा अंदाज आहे. |
| 2. Ravi Agrawal, an Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1988-batch, has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes on June 30, 2026. | 3. Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, two digital systems – Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) – will be integrated with India’s higher education system. The ABC is a platform of the Ministry of Education and is regulated by the UGC, while APAAR is a 12-digit student identity number under the “One Nation, One Student ID” initiative. राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरण (NEP) 2020 अंतर्गत, ‘ॲकॅडमिक बँक ऑफ क्रेडिट्स’ (ABC) आणि ‘ऑटोमेटेड पर्मनंट ॲकॅडमिक अकाउंट रजिस्ट्री’ (APAAR) या दोन डिजिटल प्रणाली भारताच्या उच्च शिक्षण प्रणालीशी जोडल्या जातील. ABC हे शिक्षण मंत्रालयाचे एक व्यासपीठ असून त्याचे नियमन विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोगाद्वारे (UGC) केले जाते; तर APAAR हा ‘एक राष्ट्र, एक विद्यार्थी ओळख क्रमांक’ (One Nation, One Student ID) या उपक्रमांतर्गत विद्यार्थ्यांना दिला जाणारा 12-अंकी ओळख क्रमांक आहे. |
| 4. The white-rumped vulture is a Critically Endangered scavenger bird on the IUCN Red List. It occurs in South and South-East Asia. Conservation includes poisoning control, carcass management, captive breeding and protection from power line hazards. पांढऱ्या पार्श्वभागाचे गिधाड हा आययूसीएनच्या लाल यादीतील एक अत्यंत संकटग्रस्त मृतभक्षी पक्षी आहे. तो दक्षिण आणि आग्नेय आशियामध्ये आढळतो. त्याच्या संवर्धनामध्ये विषबाधा नियंत्रण, मृतदेहांचे व्यवस्थापन, बंदिस्त प्रजनन आणि वीज तारांच्या धोक्यांपासून संरक्षण यांचा समावेश आहे. |
| 5. On 30 June 2026, the National Tiger Conservation Authority gave in-principle approval to Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Odisha to resume tiger reintroduction. The last reintroduction attempt in 2018 had not been successful and there were no tigers in the reserve at the time of the assessment in June 2026. 30 जून 2026 रोजी, ‘नॅशनल टायगर कन्झर्व्हेशन ऑथॉरिटी’ने (राष्ट्रीय वाघ संवर्धन प्राधिकरण) ओडिशामधील सतकोसिया व्याघ्र प्रकल्पात वाघांचे पुनर्वसन पुन्हा सुरू करण्यास तत्त्वतः मंजुरी दिली. 2018 मध्ये करण्यात आलेला पुनर्वसनाचा मागील प्रयत्न यशस्वी झाला नव्हता आणि जून 2026 मधील मूल्यमापनाच्या वेळी या राखीव क्षेत्रात एकही वाघ अस्तित्वात नव्हता. |
| 6. The K9 Vajra-T self-propelled howitzer programme has broadened defence cooperation between India and South Korea. K9 Vajra-T is the Indian version of K9 Thunder 155 mm self-propelled tracked artillery gun of South Korea. ‘के-9 वज्र-टी’ (K9 Vajra-T) या स्वयंचलित तोफ प्रणालीच्या (self-propelled howitzer) कार्यक्रमाने भारत आणि दक्षिण कोरिया यांच्यातील संरक्षण सहकार्य अधिक व्यापक केले आहे. ‘के-9 वज्र-टी’ ही दक्षिण कोरियाच्या ‘के-9 थंडर’ (K9 Thunder) या 155 मिमीच्या स्वयंचलित ट्रॅक्ड तोफेची भारतीय आवृत्ती आहे. |
| 7. The Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan (RGVS) 2026 was a two-day national conclave held in New Delhi and concluded on 29 June 2026. The Ministry of Rural Development organised the event, and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired the Sammelan. The conclave brought together Rural Development Ministers, senior officials, and policymakers from 29 States and Union Territories. ‘राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण विकास संमेलन (RGVS) 2026’ हे नवी दिल्ली येथे आयोजित केलेले दोन दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन होते, ज्याची सांगता 29 जून 2026 रोजी झाली. ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालयाने या कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले होते आणि केंद्रीय मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान यांनी या संमेलनाचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवले. या अधिवेशनात 29 राज्ये आणि केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांमधील ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री, वरिष्ठ अधिकारी आणि धोरणकर्ते एकत्र आले होते. |
| 8. On 29th June 2026, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) celebrated 20th Statistics Day. The event was organized in commemoration of 133rd Birth Anniversary of Prof. P. C.
