अदानी डिफेन्स अँड एरोस्पेसने 5 जुलै 2026 रोजी मध्य प्रदेशातील शिवपुरी जिल्ह्यातील पाली येथे 2,500 कोटी रुपये खर्चाच्या क्षेपणास्त्र निर्मिती प्रकल्पाची पायाभरणी केली. मध्यम आणि लांब पल्ल्याच्या क्षेपणास्त्र प्रणालींसाठी खाजगी क्षेत्रातील क्षेपणास्त्र परिसंस्था (इकोसिस्टम) म्हणून या प्रकल्पाचे नियोजन करण्यात आले आहे. |
| 2. West Bengal approved the Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana (PMCSPY) for tea garden workers in North Bengal on 5 July 2026. | 4. India is participating in the first United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 6-7, 2026. The Indian side is headed by Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh. | 5. GJ 3378b is an exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf star Gliese 3378, located approximately 25 light-years away from the Solar System in the constellation Camelopardalis to the north. The planet was first observed in 2024, and then re-visited by astronomers at the University of California, Irvine, with updated measurements published on 1 July 2026. GJ 3378b हा ‘ग्लिसी 3378’ (Gliese 3378) या ‘रेड ड्वार्फ’ (red dwarf) ताऱ्याभोवती प्रदक्षिणा घालणारा एक बहिर्ग्रह (exoplanet) आहे. हा तारा आपल्या सूर्यमालेपासून सुमारे 25 प्रकाशवर्षे दूर, उत्तरेकडील ‘कॅमेलोपार्डालिस’ (Camelopardalis) या तारकासमूहात स्थित आहे. या ग्रहाचे निरीक्षण सर्वप्रथम 2024 मध्ये करण्यात आले होते; त्यानंतर युनिव्हर्सिटी ऑफ कॅलिफोर्निया, अर्वाइन (University of California, Irvine) येथील खगोलशास्त्रज्ञांनी त्याचे पुन्हा निरीक्षण केले आणि 1 जुलै 2026 रोजी अद्ययावत मोजमापे प्रकाशित केली. |
| 6. China test-launched a submarine-launched ballistic missile in the South Pacific on Monday, 6 July 2026. The missile, which had a dummy warhead, was fired at 12:01 p.m. local time (0401 GMT) from one of China’s nuclear-powered submarines. चीनने सोमवार, ६ जुलै २०२६ रोजी दक्षिण पॅसिफिकमध्ये पाणबुडीवरून डागता येणाऱ्या बॅलिस्टिक क्षेपणास्त्राची चाचणी घेतली. बनावट वॉरहेड (dummy warhead) असलेले हे क्षेपणास्त्र चीनच्या अणुऊर्जेवर चालणाऱ्या पाणबुड्यांपैकी एका पाणबुडीवरून स्थानिक वेळेनुसार दुपारी १२:०१ वाजता (०४०१ जीएमटी) डागण्यात आले. |
| 7. India to Host Two-Day BRICS Heads of Anti-Drug Agencies Meeting in Guwahati, Assam on 6-7 July 2026. The meeting is being organised by the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Union Home Ministry and brings together anti-drug agencies of the expanded BRICS grouping. भारत 6-7 जुलै 2026 रोजी आसाममधील गुवाहाटी येथे ‘ब्रिक्स’ (BRICS) देशांच्या अंमली पदार्थ विरोधी यंत्रणांच्या प्रमुखांच्या दोन दिवसीय बैठकीचे यजमानपद भूषवणार आहे. केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालयांतर्गत कार्यरत असलेल्या ‘नार्कोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्युरो’द्वारे ही बैठक आयोजित केली जात असून, यात विस्तारित ‘ब्रिक्स’ गटातील अंमली पदार्थ विरोधी यंत्रणांचे प्रतिनिधी एकत्र येणार आहेत. |
| 8. The Department of Military Affairs led by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan is examining a proposal to raise the retention rate of Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme. Launched in June 2022, the scheme aims at inducting 25% of the Agniveer recruits into the permanent service after four years. ‘चीफ ऑफ डिफेन्स स्टाफ’ जनरल अनिल चौहान यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील ‘डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ मिलिटरी अफेअर्स’ (लष्करी व्यवहार विभाग) ‘अग्निपथ’ योजनेअंतर्गत ‘अग्निवीर’च्या सेवेत कायम ठेवण्याच्या दरात (रिटेन्शन रेट) वाढ करण्याच्या प्रस्तावावर विचार करत आहे. जून 2022 मध्ये सुरू करण्यात आलेल्या या योजनेचे उद्दिष्ट चार वर्षांनंतर 25 टक्के अग्निवीरांना कायमस्वरूपी सेवेत सामावून घेणे हे आहे. |
