The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways wants to centralize the National Bridge Health Monitoring Software by involving the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. | 2. On July 9, 2026, India launched Awiqli, the world’s first once-weekly basal insulin. The drug contains insulin icodec and is sold by Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk. Awiqli is approved in India for Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes in adults. 9 जुलै 2026 रोजी भारताने ‘अविकली’ (Awiqli) हे जगातील पहिले आठवड्यातून एकदा घ्यायचे ‘बेसल इन्सुलिन’ (basal insulin) बाजारात आणले. या औषधात ‘इन्सुलिन आयकोडेक’ (insulin icodec) हा घटक असून, त्याची विक्री डॅनिश औषधनिर्मिती कंपनी ‘नोव्हो नॉर्डिस्क’ (Novo Nordisk) द्वारे केली जाते. भारतात ‘अविकली’ला प्रौढांमधील टाईप 1 आणि टाईप 2 मधुमेहासाठी मान्यता देण्यात आली आहे. |
| 3. Andhra Pradesh’s Srikakulam district will have a full-fledged airport under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagarik) scheme. Mandasa mandal has been suggested for the airport and Palasa will be the site for a domestic airport on 1,261 acres. ‘उडान’ (उडे देश का आम नागरिक) योजनेअंतर्गत आंध्र प्रदेशच्या श्रीकाकुलम जिल्ह्यात एक पूर्ण क्षमतेचे विमानतळ उभारले जाणार आहे. यासाठी मंदासा मंडळाची शिफारस करण्यात आली असून, 1,261 एकर जागेवर पालासा येथे हे देशांतर्गत विमानतळ उभारले जाईल. |
| 4. Gandhinagar, Gujarat launched its first Data Centre Policy 2026-29 on 9 July 2026. The policy aims at ₹6 lakh crore investment and 7.5 GW data centre capacity. This includes hyperscale data centres, cloud infrastructure and AI enabled digital services. गुजरातने 9 जुलै 2026 रोजी गांधीनगर येथे आपले पहिले ‘डेटा सेंटर धोरण 2026-29’ जाहीर केले. या धोरणाचे उद्दिष्ट 6 लाख कोटी रुपयांची गुंतवणूक आणि 7.5 गिगावॅट (GW) इतकी डेटा सेंटर क्षमता निर्माण करणे हे आहे. यामध्ये हायपरस्केल डेटा सेंटर्स, क्लाउड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर आणि एआय (AI) युक्त डिजिटल सेवांचा समावेश आहे. |
| 5. On 9 July 2026, the Indian government waived basic customs duty on goods used in the manufacture of display assemblies, lithium-ion cells and inductor coil modules. | 6. India’s peak power demand is likely to reach 300 GW in FY 2027 after reaching 271 GW in May 2026. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on 8 July 2026 conducted a flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha. The rocket was tested for a user defined minimum strike range of 60 km and completed all planned in-flight manoeuvres prior to hitting the designated target. संरक्षण संशोधन आणि विकास संस्थेने (DRDO) 8 जुलै 2026 रोजी ओडिशामधील चांदीपूर येथील ‘इंटिग्रेटेड टेस्ट रेंज’ (ITR) वरून ‘पिनाका लाँग रेंज गाइडेड रॉकेट’ची (LRGR) उड्डाण चाचणी घेतली. या रॉकेटची चाचणी वापरकर्त्याने निश्चित केलेल्या ६० किमीच्या किमान पल्ल्यासाठी करण्यात आली आणि निर्धारित लक्ष्यावर आदळण्यापूर्वी त्याने उड्डाणादरम्यानच्या नियोजित सर्व हालचाली यशस्वीपणे पूर्ण केल्या. |
| 8. 07 July 2026: Indian Space Research Organisation conducted Integrated Main Parachute Airdrop Test-05 (IMAT-05) for Gaganyaan Mission. The trial was carried out at the drop zone of the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, and it involved a dummy mass with a simulated main parachute assembly. 07 जुलै 2026: भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्थेने (इस्रो) ‘गगनयान’ मोहिमेसाठी ‘इंटिग्रेटेड मेन पॅराशूट एअरड्रॉप टेस्ट-05’ (IMAT-05) ही चाचणी पार पाडली. ही चाचणी मध्य प्रदेशातील श्योपूर येथील ‘एरियल डिलिव्हरी रिसर्च अँड डेव्हलपमेंट एस्टॅब्लिशमेंट’च्या ड्रॉप झोनवर घेण्यात आली आणि यात मुख्य पॅराशूट प्रणालीचे अनुकरण करणाऱ्या एका डमी वस्तूचा (dummy mass) वापर करण्यात आला. |
