| 1. The Nifty500 Ahimsa Index, launched by NSE Indices Limited, a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange on 10 July 2026. ‘एनएससी इंडिसेस लिमिटेड’ (नॅशनल स्टॉक एक्स्चेंजची उपकंपनी) द्वारे 10 जुलै 2026 रोजी ‘निफ्टी 500 अहिंसा निर्देशांक’ (Nifty500 Ahimsa Index) सुरू करण्यात आला. या निर्देशांकात ‘निफ्टी ५००’ मधील अशा कंपन्यांचा समावेश आहे ज्या आपल्या व्यावसायिक कामकाजात ‘अहिंसा’ तत्त्वाचे पालन करतात; तसेच, यात प्राण्यांना हानी पोहोचवणाऱ्या उपक्रमांमध्ये गुंतलेल्या कंपन्यांना वगळण्यात आले आहे. |
| 2. On July 11, 2026, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had issued nine notices to Swiggy Instamart over consumer complaints relating to food safety and labelling issues. Complaints were related to expired and spoiled food products and contaminated and unsafe products sold on the quick-commerce platform.

| 3. The retail prices of 39 new drug formulations have been fixed by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority on 8th July, 2026 under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. The order covered formulations for conditions like hypertension, diabetes, HIV, heart disease, eye infections, cancer, cardiovascular disorders, epilepsy, pain management and vitamin deficiencies.
‘औषधे (किंमत नियंत्रण) आदेश, 2013’ अंतर्गत, ‘राष्ट्रीय औषध मूल्य निर्धारण प्राधिकरणा’ने (NPPA) 8 जुलै 2026 रोजी 39 नवीन औषध प्रकारांच्या (फॉर्म्युलेशन्स) किरकोळ किमती निश्चित केल्या आहेत. या आदेशात उच्च रक्तदाब, मधुमेह, एचआयव्ही (HIV), हृदयविकार, डोळ्यांचे संसर्ग, कर्करोग, हृदय व रक्तवाहिन्यांशी संबंधित विकार, अपस्मार, वेदना व्यवस्थापन आणि जीवनसत्त्वांची कमतरता यांसारख्या आजारांवरील औषधांचा समावेश आहे. |
| 4. On 10 July 2026, the Union government approved a ₹3,000-crore scheme for the conservation and restoration of nearly 15,000 sacred groves across India. The five-year programme called the Aastha Van Sanrakshan Yojana will be implemented from 2026-27 to 2030-31 and will be funded by the National CAMPA Fund.

| 5. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) conducted the first test flight of its experimental reusable rocket, Reusable Vehicle eXperiment (RV-X), on 11 July 2026 from the Noshiro Testing Center in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, Japan. The flight lasted less than a minute, and the rocket took off, hovered, moved horizontally and landed safely.

| 6. On 11 July 2026, India and New Zealand raised their relationship to a strategic partnership. The two countries agreed to set a target to double annual bilateral trade in goods and services to ₹35,000 crore or NZ$7 billion by 2030. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon held talks that led to 18 outcomes including 10 agreements.

| 7. On 10 July 2026, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development helped to register 28 new products from different parts of India as Geographical Indications. With these additions, the number of GI products supported by NABARD now stands at 176.

| 8. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is India’s national digital health mission for creating interoperable health records and unique health identifiers. As on 10th July 2026, the mission has generated over 93.95 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers and linked over 105 crore digital health records.
