‘आयएनएस मालवण’ (INS Malvan) हे भारतीय नौदलासाठी बांधण्यात येत असलेल्या ‘माहे’ (Mahe) वर्गातील ‘अँटी-सबमरीन वॉरफेअर शॅलो वॉटर क्राफ्ट’ (ASW-SWC) मालिकेतील दुसरे जहाज आहे. या जहाजाची रचना आणि बांधणी कोची येथील ‘कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड’ने केली असून, 31 मार्च 2026 रोजी ते नौदलात कार्यान्वित करण्यात आले. |

| 3. On 15 July 2026, scientists announced the discovery of a new exoplanet within the Beta Pictoris star system, which they dubbed Beta Pictoris d. The planet was found with data from the James Webb Space Telescope at NASA and the Very Large Telescope in Chile of the European Southern Observatory.

| 4. The Indian Air Force contingent arrived in Australia for Exercise Pitch Black 2026 on 17 July 2026. The deployment will include four Rafale fighter jets, two C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft and more than 120 Air Warriors.

The guidebook is a practical guide for Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on export opportunities, market access requirements, trade intelligence tools, international standards and sustainability norms.

| 7. Operation Southern Readiness 26-2 is a multinational maritime security training engagement planned at the Southern Naval Command, Kochi from 20-23 July 2026. The Indian Navy will participate in the four-day exercise with the Combined Maritime Forces under Combined Task Force 154, the CMF’s dedicated training task force.

| 8. NITI Aayog has released a roadmap- Roadmap for Building India as a Leading BioEconomy Powerhouse by 2035 on 16 July 2026. The roadmap outlines a ₹50,000 crore BioEconomy Growth Fund for 2026-2035 and targets for India’s biotechnology sector, bioeconomy expansion and industry scaling up.
नीती आयोगाने 16 जुलै 2026 रोजी ‘2035 पर्यंत भारताला जैव-अर्थव्यवस्थेतील (BioEconomy) एक प्रमुख केंद्र म्हणून विकसित करण्यासाठीचा आराखडा’ (Roadmap) प्रसिद्ध केला आहे. या आराखड्यात 2026-2035 या कालावधीसाठी 50,000 कोटी रुपयांच्या ‘जैव-अर्थव्यवस्था विकास निधी’ची (BioEconomy Growth Fund) तरतूद, तसेच भारताचे जैवतंत्रज्ञान क्षेत्र, जैव-अर्थव्यवस्थेचा विस्तार आणि उद्योगांचा विस्तार यांबाबतची उद्दिष्टे मांडण्यात आली आहेत. |
