1. India Post, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), and Tripta Technologies have joined hands to launch a new portal called ‘Bharat eMart’. The portal will offer pick-up and delivery services to traders across India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this initiative was signed in Delhi recently, in the presence of Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan.
इंडिया पोस्ट, कॉन्फेडरेशन ऑफ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्स (CAIT), आणि Tripta Technologies यांनी ‘भारत eMart’ नावाचे नवीन पोर्टल सुरू करण्यासाठी हातमिळवणी केली आहे. हे पोर्टल संपूर्ण भारतातील व्यापाऱ्यांना पिक-अप आणि वितरण सेवा प्रदान करेल. या उपक्रमासाठी सामंजस्य करारावर नुकतीच दिल्लीत दळणवळण राज्यमंत्री देवुसिंह चौहान यांच्या उपस्थितीत स्वाक्षरी करण्यात आली.

2. India’s first pod taxi project has been approved by the Yamuna Authority. The project, called Personalised Rapid Transit, is an advanced mode of transportation that will be automated and environmentally friendly.
भारतातील पहिल्या पॉड टॅक्सी प्रकल्पाला यमुना प्राधिकरणाने मान्यता दिली आहे. पर्सनलाइज्ड रॅपिड ट्रान्झिट नावाचा हा प्रकल्प ऑटोमेटेड आणि पर्यावरणपूरक वाहतुकीचा एक प्रगत मार्ग आहे.

3. The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) recently organized the 36th CISO Deep-Dive training programme in New Delhi. This training programme was organized under the Capacity Building scheme and had 24 participants from Central Line Ministries and States/UTs.

4. The Indian Army has announced that from August 1, 2023, all officers holding the rank of Brigadier or higher will wear the same uniform, regardless of their department or position. This decision aims to foster a sense of unity and commonality among officers and promote a shared approach.

5. Fitch Ratings has revised India’s GDP growth forecast for the fiscal year 2023-24 to 6% from the earlier projection of 6.2%. For the fiscal year 2024-25, Fitch has predicted a growth rate of 6.7%.

6. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has fined Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd (HSBC) with a monetary penalty of ₹1.73 crore for not complying with Credit Information Companies Rules, 2006.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने क्रेडिट माहिती कंपनी नियम, 2006 चे पालन न केल्याबद्दल हाँगकाँग आणि शांघाय बँकिंग कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (HSBC) ला 1.73 कोटी रुपयांचा आर्थिक दंड ठोठावला आहे.

7. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Ministry of Railways signed an MoU with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the ‘Station Area Development along Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail’ project, also known as Project-SMART.

8. On May 9, the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) completed their 8 years of providing social security cover. PMJJBY provides accidental death and disability insurance to the beneficiaries, while PMSBY provides life insurance cover. At the same time, APY is a pension scheme for the unorganized sector, which offers guaranteed minimum pension to the subscribers. These schemes are part of the government’s efforts to provide social security to all citizens, especially those in the unorganized sector.
