1. The World Economic Forum (WEF) is holding its Annual Meeting from 15th January to 19th January, 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.
वर्ल्ड इकॉनॉमिक फोरम (WEF) ची वार्षिक बैठक 15 जानेवारी ते 19 जानेवारी 2024 दरम्यान दावोस, स्वित्झर्लंड येथे होत आहे.

2. Government of India has notified the ANUBHAV Awards Scheme 2024. To participate in the scheme, retiring Central Government employees/pensioners are required to submit their Anubhav write ups, 8 months prior to retirement and up to 1 year after their retirement.
भारत सरकारने ANUBHAV पुरस्कार योजना 2024 ला अधिसूचित केले आहे. योजनेत सहभागी होण्यासाठी, सेवानिवृत्त केंद्र सरकारच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांना/पेन्शनधारकांनी, सेवानिवृत्तीच्या 8 महिने अगोदर आणि सेवानिवृत्तीनंतर 1 वर्षापर्यंत त्यांचे अनुभव लेखन सादर करणे आवश्यक आहे.

3. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Cabo Verde as a Malaria-free country. Cabo Verde now joins Mauritius and Algeria as the third country in the WHO African region to be certified as malaria-free.
जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेने (WHO) काबो वर्देला मलेरियामुक्त देश म्हणून घोषित केले आहे. मलेरियामुक्त म्हणून प्रमाणित होणारा WHO आफ्रिकन प्रदेशातील तिसरा देश म्हणून काबो वर्दे आता मॉरिशस आणि अल्जेरियामध्ये सामील झाला आहे.

4. Global surgery is the neglected stepchild in global health. The neglect is more shocking in South Asia which has the largest population globally lacking access to essential surgery.
जागतिक शस्त्रक्रिया हे जागतिक आरोग्यामध्ये दुर्लक्षित सावत्र मूल आहे. जागतिक स्तरावर सर्वात जास्त लोकसंख्या असलेल्या दक्षिण आशियामध्ये अत्यावश्यक शस्त्रक्रियेची सोय नसलेली ही दुर्लक्ष अधिक धक्कादायक आहे.

5. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched the ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’ initiative that aims to discourage user behavior of using single FASTag for multiple vehicles or linking multiple FASTags to a particular vehicle.
भारतीय राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) ने ‘एक वाहन, एक FASTag’ उपक्रम सुरू केला आहे ज्याचा उद्देश अनेक वाहनांसाठी एकच FASTag वापरणे किंवा एका विशिष्ट वाहनाला एकाधिक FASTag जोडणे या वापरकर्त्याच्या वर्तनाला परावृत्त करणे हा आहे.

6. The Supreme Court (SC) has delivered a split verdict in former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s plea to quash an FIR (First Investigation Report) in the alleged Skill Development Scam case.
कथित कौशल्य विकास घोटाळा प्रकरणात एफआयआर (प्रथम तपास अहवाल) रद्द करण्याच्या आंध्र प्रदेशच्या माजी मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या याचिकेवर सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने (SC) विभाजित निर्णय दिला आहे.

7. Alanganallur Jallikattu was inaugurated in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. Jallikattu is a bull taming sport in which contestants attempt to tame a bull for a prize, if they fail, the bull owner wins the prize.
तमिळनाडूच्या मदुराई जिल्ह्यात अलंगनलूर जल्लीकट्टूचे उद्घाटन करण्यात आले. जल्लीकट्टू हा बैलाला टेमिंगचा खेळ आहे ज्यामध्ये स्पर्धक बक्षीसासाठी बैलाला काबूत ठेवण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात, जर ते अयशस्वी झाले तर बैल मालक बक्षीस जिंकतो.

8. The absence of Snowfall in Kashmir during the winter season is not only affecting the region’s tourism industry, particularly in popular destinations like Gulmarg, but it also has significant implications for various aspects of the local environment and economy.

9. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) notified the Point of Presence (PoP) Regulations 2023, This regulation makes it easier for people to join the National Pension System (NPS) by simplifying the registration process.
पेन्शन फंड रेग्युलेटरी अँड डेव्हलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (PFRDA) ने पॉइंट ऑफ प्रेझेन्स (PoP) नियम 2023 ला अधिसूचित केले आहे, हे नियमन नोंदणी प्रक्रिया सुलभ करून लोकांना राष्ट्रीय पेन्शन प्रणाली (NPS) मध्ये सामील होणे सोपे करते.

10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently fed Punganur cows from Andhra Pradesh at his Delhi residence on the Pongal/Makar Sankranti festival. These indigenous cattle have unique characteristics.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी नुकतेच पोंगल/मकर संक्रांतीच्या सणाला त्यांच्या दिल्लीतील निवासस्थानी आंध्र प्रदेशातील पुंगनूर गायींना चारा दिला. या देशी गुरांची खास वैशिष्ट्ये आहेत.
