| 1. In Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, work has begun on the world’s first centre to care for and protect the Asian king vulture, which is also known as the red-headed vulture. The species has been on the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature since 2007 because it is in very great danger. The goal of this project was to keep it alive.

| 3. In India’s market for renewable energy, Uttar Pradesh is a major participant, particularly in the production of compressed biogas (CBG). According to a significant analysis published by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), Uttar Pradesh may produce 24% of India’s CBG. This was disclosed at a Muzaffarnagar conference organised by the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) and the CSE. The objectives of the meeting were to reduce dependency on imported compressed natural gas (CNG), identify sustainable energy options locally, and enhance waste management.

The Kerala Assembly adopted a resolution on June 24 requesting that the Indian Central Government amend the state’s name under the Constitution from “Kerala” to “Keralam.” The resolution was passed unanimously for the second time in a year on this occasion. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is spearheading this idea, which aims to align the constitutional name with the Malayalam word “Keralam.”
