IBPS SO is a national-level exam conducted by IBPS for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (Scale I) in various public sector banks for different specialized roles like IT, Agriculture, Law, HR, Marketing, etc.

2. Which posts are included in IBPS SO 2025?

The recruitment includes the following posts:

  • IT Officer (Scale I) – 203 Posts

  • Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) – 310 Posts

  • Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I) – 78 Posts

  • Law Officer (Scale I) – 55 Posts

  • HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) – 10 Posts

3. What are the educational qualifications for each post?

  • IT Officer: 4-year degree in Engineering/Technology in CS/IT/ECE/E&E or Postgraduate in CS/IT/Electronics or DOEACC ‘B’ level.

  • Agricultural Field Officer: Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Dairy, Fisheries, Agri. Marketing, Forestry, Food Science, Agri. Biotechnology, etc.

  • Rajbhasha Adhikari: Postgraduate in Hindi with English at graduation OR vice versa.

  • Law Officer: Graduate in Law (LLB) and enrolled with Bar Council.

  • HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate + 2-year full-time PG in Personnel Management/HR/Social Work/Labour Law.

  • Marketing Officer: Graduate + 2-year full-time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM in Marketing.

4. What is the age limit for IBPS SO 2025?

  • Age: 20 to 30 years as on 01 July 2025

  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation, OBC (Non-creamy): 3 years relaxation, PWD: Up to 10 years relaxation

5. What is the selection process?

The recruitment will take place in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Online)

  2. Main Examination (Online) – Subject-specific

  3. Interview – Conducted by participating banks with IBPS coordination

6. What is the exam pattern for IBPS SO 2025?

For IT Officer, AFO, HR, Marketing:

  • Prelims: Reasoning, English, Quant (125 Marks)

  • Mains: Professional Knowledge (60 Marks)

For Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari:

  • Prelims: Reasoning, English, General Awareness (125 Marks)
  • Mains: Professional Knowledge (60 Marks)

7. What is the application fee?

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹850/-
