Educational Qualification:

About AFCAT Recruitment

AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Air Force to select candidates for various officer posts in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branches (Technical and Non-Technical). Here is some general information about AFCAT recruitment:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
2. Age Limit:
– Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (candidates should be born between January 2, 2000, and January 1, 2004, both dates inclusive).
– Ground Duty Branches: 20 to 26 years (candidates should be born between January 2, 1996, and January 1, 2004, both dates inclusive).
3. Educational Qualifications:
– Flying Branch: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or BE/B.Tech degree (60% marks) from a recognized university.
– Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in Graduation (Engineering) in the relevant discipline or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
– Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline or cleared the Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.

Selection Process:
1. AFCAT Written Exam: Candidates need to qualify for the AFCAT written exam, which consists of multiple-choice questions on subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test.
2. AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) Testing: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the AFSB testing, which includes various stages like Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Psychological Test, Group Tests, and Interview.
3. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the AFSB testing will undergo a comprehensive medical examination.
4. Merit List: The final merit list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam, AFSB testing, and medical examination.
