1. On 1st April annually Utkal Divas, also known as Utakala Dibasha or Odisha Day is celebrated.

2. The Maharashtra government has implemented a scheme that permits inmates to get up to Rs 50,000 personal loans from banks.

3. In India, Microsoft introduced a new digital and inclusive platform for startup creators. The platform is known as the ‘Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub.

4. Vishwas Patel has been re-elected as Chairman of the Payments Council of India (PCI) for the second time in 2022; he was first elected to the position in 2018.

5. The Central Government has announced the reduction of areas under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the Northeast states of the country. The impacted states are Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur.

8. Manipur’s state government has inked an MoU with Samsung Data System India Pvt Ltd to establish a world-class “Sports Digital Experience Centre.”

9. The Lok Sabha has passed the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill so that three municipal corporations of Delhi (MCD) can be merged into a single entity.

10. Citigroup has announced that Axis Bank will be acquiring Citibank’s India consumer business for an amount of USD 1.6 billion in an all-cash deal
