| 1. Kerala has made history by being the first state in India to get rid of extreme poverty. On November 1, 2025, which was also Kerala’s Formation Day, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made the announcement in the state Assembly. | 4. China’s Shenzhou-21 mission to its Tiangong space station was a success. It carried a three-member crew, including the country’s youngest astronaut ever, and four lab mice. | 7. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) owns the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), which has come up with a big metallurgical breakthrough: 28MnB5 grade manganese-boron steel. This is the first of its kind within SAIL. The new steel grade is made just for agricultural machinery and other uses that need to be resistant to wear. | 8. The 2025 FIDE World Chess Cup began in Goa on Friday. It was a momentous day for Indian chess since the Viswanathan Anand Trophy was unveiled. Anand was the first Grandmaster from India and a five-time world champion.
