1. The International Day of Older Persons is observed on October 1 every year.
आंतरराष्ट्रीय वृद्ध व्यक्तीचा दिवस दरवर्षी 1 ऑक्टोबर रोजी साजरा केला जातो.

2. The International coffee day is celebrated on 1 October every year. An estimation says around 3 billion cups of coffee are consumed every day.
आंतरराष्ट्रीय कॉफी दिन दरवर्षी 1 ऑक्टोबर रोजी साजरा केला जातो. एका अंदाजानुसार दररोज सुमारे 3 अब्ज कप कॉफी वापरली जाते.

3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the website of 11th edition of DefEXpo, to be held in Lucknow from 5th to 8th February 2020. The website, www.defexpo.gov.in provides online services to exhibitors, besides hosting informative content about the product profile of Defence Public Sector Undertakings and Ordnance Factories.

4. Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia, an Indian Information Service (IIS) officer, was appointed as the principal spokesperson of the Union government.
भारतीय माहिती सेवा (IIS) अधिकारी कुलदीपसिंग धतवालिया यांची केंद्र सरकारचे मुख्य प्रवक्ते म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आली.

5. The Reserve Bank of India has superseded the Board of Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank Limited, Mumbai and appointed Jai Bhagwan Bhoria as the bank’s administrator with all powers of the board.

6. Kavitha Gopal created history by becoming the first girl student of the Indian Institute Technology-Madras (IIT-M) to win the President of India Prize 2019. This is the first time a girl student has won the award in 60 years. So far, only male students had won the prize at the institute
कविता गोपाळ यांनी भारतीय राष्ट्रपती पुरस्कार 2019 जिंकणार्‍या इंडियन इन्स्टिट्यूट टेक्नॉलॉजी-मद्रास (IIT-M)ची पहिली विद्यार्थिनी बनून इतिहास रचला. 60 वर्षात प्रथमच एखाद्या मुली विद्यार्थ्याने हा पुरस्कार जिंकला. आतापर्यंत फक्त पुरुष विद्यार्थ्यांनी संस्थेत पारितोषिक जिंकले होते.

7. The 94th Raising Day of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) is celebrated on 1 October 2019. On that day, the Nursing officers rededicated themselves to render high quality, selfless nursing care to their patients by reading the Florence Nightingale Pledge on the occasion.

8. India’s second-largest operator by revenue Bharti Airtel is planning to raise via a bond issue by its subsidiary Network i2i. For this purpose, the company appointed seven joint bookrunners and joint lead managers to kick start the process of a potential fundraising exercise through dollar-denominated perpetual bonds.

9. In Tennis, Sumit Nagal has won the men’s singles title of ATP Challenger Tournament at Buenos Aires in Argentina.

10. Veteran actor Viju Khote passed away in Mumbai. He had acted in more than 300 Hindi and Marathi films. He was 77.
ज्येष्ठ अभिनेते विजू खोटे यांचे मुंबईत निधन झाले.  ते 77 वर्षांचे होते. त्यांनी 300 हून अधिक हिंदी आणि मराठी चित्रपटांमध्ये अभिनय केला होता.
