1. Recently, the International Solar Alliance (ISA) conducted its 5th regional meeting in Kigali, Rwanda. During the meeting, nine solar power demonstration projects in three countries were virtually inaugurated: four in Uganda, two in Comoros, and three in Mali. This initiative aims to promote solar energy and sustainable development in these nations.

3. CSIR’s Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI) has successfully designed and developed a compact 100% Pure Electric Tractor named CSIR PRIMA ET11. This tractor is primarily intended to meet the needs of small and marginal farmers in India, providing them with an eco-friendly and efficient agricultural solution.

4. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has officially launched the world’s first car powered by 100 percent ethanol in New Delhi. This marks a significant step toward promoting alternative and environmentally friendly fuels for automobiles.

5. NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize a cooperative framework. This collaboration aims to accelerate India’s efforts to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which encompass a wide range of social, economic, and environmental objectives for a more sustainable and equitable future.
