| 1. In 2025, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs started the Saksham Niveshak campaign under the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA). The countrywide drive lasted from July 28 until November 6. It was all about giving shareholders more control by letting them know about unclaimed dividends and helping them update their KYC and nomination information. The goal of the campaign was to help investors get their dividends back and stop shares from being given to the IEPFA. Advertisement

The 15th Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP15) to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, which took place at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, passed India’s resolution on “Promoting Sustainable Lifestyles for the Wise Use of Wetlands.” झिम्बाब्वेतील व्हिक्टोरिया फॉल्स येथे झालेल्या रामसर कन्व्हेन्शन ऑन वेटलँड्सच्या करार करणाऱ्या पक्षांच्या १५ व्या परिषदेत (COP15) “वेटलँड्सच्या सुज्ञ वापरासाठी शाश्वत जीवनशैलीला प्रोत्साहन देणे” या विषयावर भारताचा ठराव मंजूर करण्यात आला. |
| 4. The Maharashtra government opened the first Anganwadi center in the country that uses AI in Waddhamna village, Nagpur district. This pilot project, part of Mission Bal Bharari, brings new digital tools to early childhood education in rural India. Its goal is to close the gap between rural and urban schooling by giving poor kids hands-on, tech-based learning opportunities. महाराष्ट्र सरकारने नागपूर जिल्ह्यातील वद्धमना गावात एआय वापरणारे देशातील पहिले अंगणवाडी केंद्र उघडले. मिशन बाल भरारी चा भाग असलेला हा पायलट प्रकल्प ग्रामीण भारतातील बालपणीच्या शिक्षणासाठी नवीन डिजिटल साधने आणतो. गरीब मुलांना व्यावहारिक, तंत्रज्ञानावर आधारित शिक्षणाच्या संधी देऊन ग्रामीण आणि शहरी शालेय शिक्षणातील अंतर कमी करणे हे त्याचे ध्येय आहे. |
| 5. The Union government has released new information that shows that thirteen stretches of rivers in Gujarat are officially contaminated. The part of the Sabarmati River between Raysan and Vautha has the worst pollution. Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), which is a key metric of organic contamination in water, is what this assessment is based on. | 6. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) have started a new AI-powered climate advisory service. This tool gives smallholder farmers personalized, up-to-the-minute meteorological and climate information. Its goal is to assist them deal with the changing climate and make farming more productive. | 7. Under the “One District, One Product” (ODOP) program, the Union government has given the go-ahead for the building of PM Ekta Malls in 27 states. This approach is meant to help local handicrafts, GI-tagged items, and native products by giving them their own retail areas. The government approved over ₹4,796 crore for these projects in the 2023-24 fiscal year. | 8. The Kerala High Court has just ordered that immediate action be taken to conserve the Ashtamudi wetland. This comes after a public interest lawsuit that showed the marsh was very polluted, had people building on it, and was hurting the environment. The court told the state government and the State Wetland Authority Kerala (SWAK) to set up a separate management unit and prepare an integrated conservation strategy by a certain date. केरळ उच्च न्यायालयाने नुकतेच अष्टमुडी पाणथळ जागेचे संवर्धन करण्यासाठी तात्काळ कारवाई करण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत. हे जनहित याचिकेनंतर आले आहे ज्यामध्ये हे दलदल खूप प्रदूषित असल्याचे, त्यावर लोक बांधकाम करत असल्याचे आणि पर्यावरणाला हानी पोहोचवत असल्याचे दिसून आले होते. न्यायालयाने राज्य सरकार आणि राज्य पाणथळ जागेचे प्राधिकरण केरळ (SWAK) यांना एक स्वतंत्र व्यवस्थापन युनिट स्थापन करण्यास आणि एका विशिष्ट तारखेपर्यंत एकात्मिक संवर्धन धोरण तयार करण्यास सांगितले. |
