1. A volcano on the Indonesian island of Bali, Mount Agung erupted. The volcano is located about 70 kilometres from the tourist hub of Kuta.

2. India’s economic growth rate slowed to a five-year low of 5.8 per cent in January-March 2018-19.

5. Indian-origin Anita Bhatia appointed UN Deputy Executive Director. Anita Bhatia has been the Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women) for Resource Management, Sustainability and Partnerships.
भारतीय मूळ अनीता भाटिया यांनी संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघाचे उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त केले आहे. अनीता भाटिया संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघाच्या लिंग समानतेसाठी अस्तित्त्वात आहेत आणि स्त्रोत व्यवस्थापन, कायमस्वरूपी आणि भागीदारीसाठी महिलांचे सशक्तीकरण (संयुक्त राष्ट्र-महिला) म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत.

7. Indian Air Force (IAF) remove all temporary restrictions on all air routes in the Indian airspace.The IAF made the announcement on Twitter.

8. Punjab State government plans to ban online delivery of food without hygiene rating as per the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines.

9. The newly-inducted Union Cabinet approved a new scheme which assures minimum monthly pension of ₹3,000 per month to small shopkeepers, retail traders and the self-employed people after attaining the age of 60 years.
नव्याने समाविष्ट केलेल्या केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने नवीन योजना मंजूर केली आहे जी 60 वर्षाच्या वयापर्यंत लहान दुकानदार, किरकोळ व्यापारी आणि स्वयंरोजगार लोकांना दरमहा 3,000 रुपये मासिक वेतन देते.

10. PepsiCo India will invest nearly ₹500 crore to build a food manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh.It will invest $2.1 bn in India by 2022.
पेप्सिको इंडिया उत्तर प्रदेशातील अन्न निर्मिती प्रकल्प उभारण्यासाठी जवळजवळ 500 कोटी रुपये गुंतवेल. 2022 पर्यंत भारतात 2.1 अब्ज डॉलर्सची गुंतवणूक होईल.
