1. The government intends to introduce the Explosives Bill, 2024, a proposed replacement for the Explosives Act of 1884, according to recent reports. Increasing penalties for regulatory violations and streamlining licencing processes are two measures suggested by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
