1. A research institute in Romania, affiliated with the European Union’s Infrastructure Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) project, has successfully created the most powerful laser in the world. The laser, managed by the French corporation Thales Group, employs Nobel Prize-winning innovations and offers groundbreaking progress in several domains, such as healthcare and space exploration. The laser is located in a research facility in close proximity to Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
