1. IRCTC will compensate passengers of the new Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express in case of delay in the train schedule. An amount of 100 rupees will be paid in case the delay is for over an hour and 250 rupees for delay of over two hours.
रेल्वे वेळापत्रकात विलंब झाल्यास IRCTC नवीन लखनऊ-दिल्ली तेजस एक्स्प्रेसच्या प्रवाशांना नुकसान भरपाई देईल. एक तासापेक्षा जास्त उशीर झाल्यास 100 रुपये आणि दोन तासांपेक्षा जास्त उशीर झाल्यास 250 रुपये भरपाई होईल.

2. Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the Vande Bharat Express at New Delhi Railway Station. The first commercial run of the Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express will be on 5 October and booking of tickets is now open on the IRCTC website.

3. In Uttar Pradesh, 36-hour non-stop special session of state Legislature began on 2 October at 11 AM.

4. The number of LED street lights in the country has doubled from 49 lakh in March 2018 to 1 crore on October 1, 2019.

5. The Rajasthan government announced a ban on pan masala containing magnesium carbonate, nicotine, tobacco, mineral oil and flavoured ‘supari’ in the state.

6. Bank of Baroda (BoB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army under which the bank would offer customised services along with a host of facilities to account holders.

7. S S Mallikarjuna Rao has been appointed the new Managing Director of Punjab National Bank, the country’s second-largest public sector bank.

8. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the most effective Swachchta Ambassador award to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

9. Three railway stations in Rajasthan bagged top honours in the railways’ cleanliness survey unveiled by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Durgapura were the top three ranking railway stations among 720 stations. Andheri, Virar and Naigaon railway stations were the top three among 109 suburban stations.
रेल्वेमंत्री पीयूष गोयल यांच्या हस्ते रेल्वेच्या स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षणात राजस्थानमधील तीन रेल्वे स्थानकांना अव्वल मानाचे स्थान मिळाले. जयपूर, जोधपूर आणि दुर्गापुरा हे 720 स्थानकांपैकी अव्वल तीन क्रमांकाचे रेल्वे स्थानक आहेत. उपनगरीय 109 स्थानकांपैकी अंधेरी, विरार आणि नायगाव रेल्वे स्थानके अव्वल तीन आहेत.

10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Diwas programme in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He also released a postage stamp and silver coin of Rs.150 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi during the event.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी गुजरातच्या अहमदाबाद येथे स्वच्छ भारत दिवस कार्यक्रम लॉंच केला. कार्यक्रमाच्या वेळी महात्मा गांधींच्या 150 व्या जयंतीनिमित्त त्यांनी 150 रुपयांचे टपाल तिकीट आणि चांदीचे नाणे देखील जारी केले.
