| 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4 July 2026 inaugurated India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Balotra district, Rajasthan. | 2. Researchers in Mumbai, India, have devised a lab-grown placenta-on-chip platform that models important functions of the placenta. | 3. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a notice to Telegram on 4 July 2026 for the circulation of pirated films and Over-The-Top content on the messaging platform. | 5. Maharashtra government, on July 3, 2026, announced a ban on sale of Sting energy drinks and other intoxicating substances within a 500-metre radius of schools across the state. The restriction was announced by Food and Drug Administration Minister Narhari Zirwal in the Vidhan Sabha during the monsoon session. महाराष्ट्र सरकारने 3 जुलै 2026 रोजी, राज्यभरातील शाळांच्या 500 मीटरच्या परिसरात ‘स्टिंग’ (Sting) एनर्जी ड्रिंक्स आणि इतर नशायुक्त पदार्थांच्या विक्रीवर बंदी घालण्याची घोषणा केली. पावसाळी अधिवेशनादरम्यान विधानसभेत अन्न व औषध प्रशासन मंत्री नरहरी झिरवाळ यांनी ही बंदी जाहीर केली. |
| 6. India announced the launch of its first EXIM-grade shipping container at the Maersk-CONCOR Inland Container Depot in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh on 3 July 2026. Union Cabinet approves Modified UDAN scheme with an outlay of Rs 28,840 crore for a period of 10 years from FY 2026-27 to FY 2035-36 It is an extension of the UDAN or Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik scheme for regional air connectivity in India. केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने आर्थिक वर्ष 2026-27 ते 2035-36 या 10 वर्षांच्या कालावधीसाठी 28,840 कोटी रुपयांच्या तरतुदीसह सुधारित ‘उडान’ (UDAN) योजनेला मंजुरी दिली आहे. ही योजना भारतातील प्रादेशिक हवाई संपर्क वाढवण्यासाठी असलेल्या ‘उडान’ (म्हणजेच ‘उडे देश का आम नागरिक’) योजनेचाच विस्तार आहे. |
| 8. On July 4, 2026, the Ministry of Home Affairs declared 23 Pakistan-based operatives of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba as terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
