1. Much-awaited National Dolphin Research Centre (NDRC), India’s and Asia’s first, would be set up in Patna.
नॅशनल डॉल्फिन रिसर्च सेंटर (एनडीआरसी), भारत आणि आशियातील पहिला संच पटना येथे स्थापित केले जाणार आहे.

2. The government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed $240 million loan for providing safe and sustainable drinking water to about 1.65 million people in three districts of the state of West Bengal affected by arsenic, fluoride, and salinity.
पश्चिम बंगालच्या आर्सेनिक, फ्लोराइड आणि खारटपणामुळे प्रभावित झालेल्या तीन जिल्ह्यांमधील 1.65 दशलक्ष लोकांना सुरक्षित आणि टिकाऊ पिण्याचे पाणी पुरवण्यासाठी भारत सरकार आणि एशियन डेव्हलपमेंट बँकने (एडीबी) $ 240 दशलक्ष कर्जावर स्वाक्षरी केली आहे.

3. Frances H. Arnold and jointly George P. Smith and Sir Gregory P. Winter have been awarded with the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
फ्रान्सिस एच. अर्नोल्ड आणि संयुक्तपणे जॉर्ज पी. स्मिथ आणि सर ग्रेगरी पी. विंटर यांना रसायनशास्त्रातील 2018 तील नोबेल पारितोषिकाने सन्मानित करण्यात आले आहे.

4.  India’s third highest national flag was hoisted in Assam on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The 319.5 feet flag pole is the highest in the country with respect to the average elevation of the city.
महात्मा गांधींच्या जयंतीनिमित्त आसाममध्ये भारतातील  तिसरा सर्वोच्च ध्वज झळकविला गेला. शहराच्या सरासरी उंचीच्या बाबतीत देशातील 319.5 फूट ध्वज सर्वात उंच आहे.

5. Bangladesh has appointed a female officer Susane Giti as a major general for the first time in the country’s 47 year history.
बांग्लादेशाने देशाच्या 47 वर्षांच्या इतिहासातील पहिल्यांदाच एक महिला अधीक्षक सुसान गिती यांची प्रमुख जनरल म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आहे.

6. Altico Capital India has appointed Naina Lal Kidwai as the chairman of the company.
अल्टीको कॅपिटल इंडियाने कंपनीची अध्यक्ष म्हणून नैना लाल किदवई यांची नियुक्ती केली आहे.

7. Justice Ranjan Gogoi sworn in as the 46th Chief Justice of India.
न्यायमूर्ती रंजन गोगोई यांनी भारताचे 46वे  मुख्य न्यायाधीश म्हणून शपथ घेतली.

8. U.S. President Donald Trump ranked number 259 on the list released by Forbes wealthiest 400 billionaires. In 2017, he ranked number 248.
अमेरिकेचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्पने फोर्ब्सच्या 400 अब्जाधीशांच्या जाहीर  केलेल्या यादीत 259 क्रमांकावर आहेत. 2017 मध्ये ते 248 व्या क्रमांकावर होते.

9. Indian Railways launched its Project ‘Utkrisht’ to upgrade 140 rakes of Mail/Express trains in the first phase.
पहिल्या टप्प्यात मेल / एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनच्या 140 रेक्स अपग्रेड करण्यासाठी भारतीय रेल्वेने ‘उत्कर्ष’ प्रकल्प सुरू केला आहे.

10. Noted Malayalam film director Thampi Kannanthanam died. He was 65.
मल्याळम चित्रपट दिग्दर्शक थम्पी कन्नंथनम यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 65 वर्षांचे होते.
