1. Anjali Sharma, a mountaineer from India, has made history by successfully scaling the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in South Africa while wearing a traditional Gaddi dress, or Luanchadi. She is the first Indian woman to achieve this feat while wearing the Gaddi costume, and she aims to promote Gaddi culture on mountain peaks.

2. The Izu–Ogasawara Trench is an oceanic trench located in the western Pacific Ocean. It is known for being one of the deepest points in the world’s oceans. Here, the deepest ever fish was filmed, breaking the previous record of filming a fish swimming in the Mariana Trench.

3. Paris, the city of love, is known for its beauty and charm. The city’s streets are filled with tourists and locals alike, with many of them relying on rental e-scooters to navigate the city. However, with the recent Paris e-scooter referendum, the city has decided to ban rental e-scooters by the end of August 2023.

4. According to the India Justice Report (IJR) 2022, Karnataka has achieved the top rank among the 18 large and mid-sized states in delivery of justice with populations over one crore.

5. As the year 2024 marks the centenary of the Vaikom Satyagraha, Chief Minister of Kerala and Tamil Nadu jointly inaugurated the centenary celebrations.
