| 2. Recently, the Supreme Court of India has taken suo motu notice of collusive litigation involving officials from the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA). This action covers 3 acres 33 guntas of land in Bengaluru North Taluk. The court’s involvement highlights the misuse of legal processes by statutory bodies. | 6. The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) has not been able to close the gap between the number of children that can be adopted and the number of people who want to adopt them. This has caused the adoption process to take longer than usual. In 2022, parents had to wait three years to get an adoption recommendation.
