| 1. The PSLV-C62 mission will launch from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on January 12, 2026, and will be the first mission on the Indian Space Research Organisation’s launch calendar for that year. This has made diplomatic and economic tensions between the two Asian powers even worse. | 3. The Supreme Court has said again that Article 21 of the Constitution gives everyone who is accused of a crime the right to a quick trial, no matter what the crime is. The court granted bail to former Amtek Group chairperson Arvind Dham in a money laundering case. | 4. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India has released new electronic forms for the liquidation process. These forms are meant to make it easier for insolvency professionals to follow the rules and make regulatory filings better. | 5. India will enter a new phase of green transportation with the launch of its first hydrogen-powered train. It will start trial runs on the Jind–Sonipat route in Haryana on January 26, 2026. | 7. The Union government announced a major change to speed up India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem on the 42nd Foundation Day of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
