| 1. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations, 2025. The Central government wants to add 75,000 more medical seats over the next five years, so this is the next step. | 2. India made history in animal health by getting the world to recognize its first Equine Disease-Free Compartment (EDFC). The World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) gave the go-ahead for the facility at the Remount Veterinary Corps (RVC) Centre & College in Meerut Cantonment, Uttar Pradesh, on July 3, 2025. This certification means that Indian sport horses can compete in international events with guaranteed health requirements. | 3. The CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB) in India has opened the Phenome India National Biobank. This is a big step toward personalized medicine. This institution will gather genetic, lifestyle, and clinical information from 10,000 people all throughout the country. It wants to create a complete health database that shows how diverse India is.
