1. Every year the 8th of May is celebrated as World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

2. India has been re-elected as an observer to inter-governmental forum Arctic Council.

3. The National Institute of Open Schooling Ministry of Human Resources Development and National Health Mission of Public Health Department of Government of Maharashtra signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Mumbai. It aims to impart uniform structured and quality training to Multipurpose Health Workers, Class Ill Male Health Workers and Community Health Workers followed by their assessment evaluation and certification.
नॅशनल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ ओपन स्कूलिंग, मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालयाचे राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य मिशन आणि महाराष्ट्र सरकारच्या सार्वजनिक आरोग्य खात्याने मुंबईत सामंजस्य करार केला आहे. बहुउद्देशीय आरोग्य कर्मचा-यांस, वर्गसर्वात पुरुष आरोग्य कर्मचारी आणि समुदाय आरोग्य कर्मचा-यांना त्यांचे मूल्यांकन मूल्यांकन आणि प्रमाणीकरणानंतर एकसारखे संरचित आणि गुणवत्तापूर्ण प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करणे हा मुख्य हेतू आहे.

5. Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) held a ‘Chintan Baithak’ with the stakeholders of the Renewable Energy sector in New Delhi.
नवीन आणि नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालयाने (एमएनआरई) नवी दिल्लीतील अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षेत्रातील भागधारकांसह ‘चिंतन बिठक’ आयोजित केली.

6. Drug firm Merck Ltd has been renamed as Procter & Gamble Health Ltd. The name has been changed following P&G’s global acquisition of the consumer health business of Merck KGaA, Germany.
ड्रग फर्म मर्क लिमिटेडचे नाव प्रोक्टर अँड गॅम्बल हेल्थ लिमिटेड म्हणून बदलले गेले आहे. जर्मनीचे मर्क केजीएए च्या ग्राहक आरोग्य व्यवसायातील पी अँड जी च्या जागतिक अधिग्रहणानंतर हे नाव बदलण्यात आले आहे.

7. Laurentino Cortizo has been elected as the President of Panama.

8. Global card payments brand Mastercard announced its plan of investing $1 billion in India operations over the period of next 5 years.
ग्लोबल कार्ड पेमेंट ब्रँड मास्टरकार्डने पुढच्या 5 वर्षांच्या कालावधीत भारतात 1 अब्ज डॉलर्स गुंतवणूकीची योजना जाहीर केली आहे.

9. For the first time in India, under the ‘Honey Mission’ initiative, (KVIC) Khadi and Village Industries Commission (in less than 2 years) distributed more than 1 lakh bee-boxes among farmers and jobless youths across India.
भारतातील पहिल्यांदा ‘हनी मिशन’ उपक्रमाच्या अंतर्गत (KVIC) खादी आणि ग्रामोद्योग आयोगाने (2 वर्षांपेक्षा कमी) शेतकरी आणि भारतातील बेरोजगार युवकांमधील 1 लाख मधमाशी पेटी  वितरित केल्या आहेत.

10. Former West Indies Batsman Seymour Nurse died. He was 85.
वेस्ट इंडिजचा माजी फलंदाज बॅट्समन सेमूर नर्स यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 85 वर्षांचे होते.
