1. The Government of Japan has committed an Official Development Assistance loan of 30 billion Japanese Yen which is approximately two thousand one hundred 13 crore rupees loan to support India’s efforts at providing social assistance to the poor and vulnerable households, severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
जपान सरकारने 30 अब्ज जपानी येनचे अधिकृत विकास सहाय्य कर्ज वचनबद्ध केले आहे जे गरीब आणि असुरक्षित कुटुंबांना सामाजिक सहाय्य देण्याच्या भारताच्या प्रयत्नांना पाठिंबा देण्यासाठी सुमारे दोन हजार एकशे 13 कोटी रुपयांचे कर्ज आहे.

2. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated every two years in India on January 9 to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community to the growth and development of our country.

4. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar launched the Government’s Digital Calendar and Diary App in New Delhi.

5. Indian-American Dr. Raj Iyer has been appointed as the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the US Army, since the creation of the position by the Pentagon in July 2020.
जुलै 2020 मध्ये पेंटागॉनने हे स्थान तयार केल्यापासून भारतीय-अमेरिकन डॉ. राज अय्यर यांची अमेरिकन सैन्याच्या प्रथम मुख्य माहिती अधिकारी (CIO) म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे.

6. Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court.

7. R Giridharan, a general manager at RBI has come out with his debut novel titled “Right Under our Nose”.

8. Chitra Ghosh, the youngest daughter of Sarat Chandra Bose and niece of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, passed away. She was 90
शरच्चंद्र बोस यांची धाकटी मुलगी आणि नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांची भाची चित्रा घोष यांचे निधन झाले आहे. त्या 90 वर्षांच्या होत्या.

9. Former Gujarat chief minister and ex-Union minister Madhavsinh Solanki (94) passed away.

10. Veteran Congress leader and former state minister of Kerala, K. K. Ramachandran has passed away.
