2. The United Nations called on governments, companies and billionaires to contribute to a USD 6.7 billion fund for immediate needs in fighting the coronavirus pandemic in vulnerable countries.
संयुक्त राष्ट्रांनी सरकार, कंपन्या आणि अब्जाधीशांना असुरक्षित देशांमधील कोरोनव्हायरस साथीच्या आजाराशी लढा देण्यासाठी तातडीने गरजा भागविण्यासाठी 6.7 अब्ज डॉलर्सच्या फंडामध्ये योगदान देण्याचे आवाहन केले.

3. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman launched INR-USD (Rupee-Dollar) Futures and Options contracts on the two International Exchanges, BSE’s India INX and NSE’s NSE-IFSC, at GIFT International Financial Services Centre in Gandhinagar.

4. The number of Royal Bengal Tigers in West Bengal’s Sundarbans has risen to 96, up by eight, according to the latest census.

5. Global rating agency Moody’s slashed India’s GDP growth rate at Zero for the current fiscal 2020-21.

6. The Jharkhand government has banned 11 brands of Pan Masala for one year in the state.The order was passed by the Commissioner of Food Safety in the state, Nitin Kulkarni.
झारखंड सरकारने राज्यात 11 ब्रँड पॅन मसालावर एक वर्षासाठी बंदी घातली आहे. राज्यातील अन्न सुरक्षा आयुक्त नितीन कुलकर्णी यांनी हा आदेश मंजूर केला.

7. The Birth Anniversary of Maharana Pratap Singh I is celebrated on 9 May. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Maharana Pratap on his Jayanti.

8. National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) approved 8 laboratories. These labs are now testing prototype samples of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) coveralls required for protection from coronavirus.
नॅशनल ॲक्रिडिएशन बोर्ड फॉर टेस्टिंग अँड कॅलिब्रेशन लॅबोरेटरीज (NABL) ने 8 प्रयोगशाळांना मान्यता दिली. या लॅबमध्ये आता कोरोनाव्हायरसपासून संरक्षणासाठी आवश्यक असलेल्या वैयक्तिक संरक्षणात्मक उपकरणे (PPE) कवच्रेल्सचे नमुनेदार नमुने तपासले जात आहेत.

10. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution reported that the Food Corporation of India (FCI) has supplied a total number of 2641 rakes, including Wheat and Rice. The announcement was made by Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan.
ग्राहक व्यवहार, अन्न व सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालयाने दिलेल्या वृत्तानुसार, भारतीय खाद्य महामंडळाने (FCI) गहू आणि तांदळासह एकूण 2641 रॅक पुरविले आहेत. केंद्रीय ग्राहक व्यवहार, अन्न व सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री रामविलास पासवान यांनी ही घोषणा केली.
