| 1. India Post, under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications rolled out DigiPIN, a Digital Postal Index Number on 27 May 2025. संचार मंत्रालयाच्या टपाल विभागांतर्गत कार्यरत असलेल्या ‘इंडिया पोस्ट’ने २७ मे २०२५ रोजी ‘DigiPIN’ (डिजीपिन) नावाची डिजिटल टपाल निर्देशांक प्रणाली (Digital Postal Index Number) कार्यान्वित केली. ही प्रणाली टपाल वितरण, ट्रॅकिंग आणि ठिकाण ओळखण्यासाठी इंडिया पोस्टच्या टपाल व्यवस्थेशी एकात्मिक करण्यात आली असून, ती ‘जिओ-कोडेड’ (geo-coded) डिजिटल पत्त्यांचा वापर करते. |
| 2. Jayen Mehta was unanimously elected as the first chairman of the Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (SPCDF) on 8 May 2026. He is the Managing Director of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. | 3. With the publication of the required rules and notifications, India fully operationalised four labour codes on 21 November 2025. | 5. The Census 2027 exercise has seen the issue of QR coded identity cards to Census enumerators by India. The QR code allows residents to scan the card with a mobile device to verify the legitimacy of enumerators. जनगणना 2027 च्या प्रक्रियेअंतर्गत, भारताकडून जनगणना कर्मचाऱ्यांना ‘QR कोड’ असलेली ओळखपत्रे वितरित करण्यात आली आहेत. या QR कोडमुळे रहिवाशांना आपल्या मोबाईल उपकरणाद्वारे हे ओळखपत्र स्कॅन करून, संबंधित कर्मचाऱ्याची सत्यता पडताळून पाहणे शक्य होते. |

According to the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+) 2024-25 and an NITI Aayog report released on May 8, 2026, the primary dropout rate in Jharkhand was 0 per cent in 2024-25 as against 6.41 per cent in 2014-15. The state also reported a decline in the dropout rate in upper primary from 7.42% to 1.7% and secondary from 23.2% to 3.5% between 2014-15 and 2024-25. ‘युनिफाइड डिस्ट्रिक्ट इन्फॉर्मेशन सिस्टम फॉर एज्युकेशन प्लस’ (UDISE+) 2024-25 आणि 8 मे 2026 रोजी प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या नीती आयोगाच्या अहवालानुसार, झारखंडमधील प्राथमिक स्तरावरील शाळा सोडण्याचे प्रमाण (dropout rate) 2024-15 मधील 6.41 टक्क्यांच्या तुलनेत 2024-25 मध्ये 0 टक्के इतके नोंदवले गेले. तसेच, २०१४-१५ ते 2024-25 या कालावधीत, या राज्यात उच्च प्राथमिक स्तरावरील शाळा सोडण्याचे प्रमाण 7.42 टक्क्यांवरून 1.7 टक्क्यांपर्यंत, तर माध्यमिक स्तरावरील प्रमाण 23.2 टक्क्यांवरून 3.5 टक्क्यांपर्यंत खाली आल्याचेही या अहवालात नमूद करण्यात आले आहे. |
| 7. On 9 May 2026, Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan was appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff of India. He will assume office on 31 May 2026, succeeding Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, who retires on the same date. 9 मे 2026 रोजी, व्हाइस ॲडमिरल कृष्ण स्वामिनाथन यांची भारताचे पुढील नौदल प्रमुख (Chief of the Naval Staff) म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यात आली. 31 मे 2026 रोजी ते आपल्या पदाचा कार्यभार स्वीकारतील; या दिवशीच ॲडमिरल दिनेश के. त्रिपाठी हे निवृत्त होत असून, त्यांच्या जागी स्वामिनाथन हे पदभार सांभाळतील. |
