| 1. The government of Rajasthan is considering outright prohibiting mining operations within ten kilometers of the Chittorgarh Fort. The state and Birla Corporation Limited are embroiled in a court battle over this UNESCO World Heritage site. Ever since the Rajasthan High Court’s 2012 decision to ban mining close to the fort, the Supreme Court has been engaged.

| 2. One significant driver in expanding access to solar energy throughout Africa is the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The ISA was established in 2015 with the goal of promoting solar energy solutions and mobilizing investments in nations with abundant solar resources. This project has gained popularity, especially in Africa, where more than 600 million people do not have access to energy. In order to close this gap, the ISA is working to implement solar technology, and Indian companies are being urged to actively participate in this revolutionary process.
