1. Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) organised a meeting of the Regional Heads of Customs Administration of Asia Pacific Region of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) in Kochi from 08th to 10th May 2019.
सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ इंडियटेक्ट टॅक्स अँड कस्टम्स (CBIC) ने कोच्चिमध्ये 08 ते 10 मे 2019 या काळात वर्ल्ड कस्टम्स ऑर्गनायझेशन (WCO) च्या आशिया पॅसिफिक क्षेत्राच्या सीमाशुल्क प्रशासन विभागाचे क्षेत्रीय प्रमुखांच्या बैठकीचे आयोजन केले.

2. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation named M Hari Menon as the Country Director in India effective from May 24.
बिल आणि मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशनने 24 मे पासून प्रभावीपणे एम. हरि मेनन यांना भारतातील देश निदेशक म्हणून नामांकित केले आहे.

3. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has announced it will acquire iconic British toy-maker Hamleys for 67.96 million pounds (around Rs 620 crore) in an all-cash deal.
मुकेश अंबानी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील रिलायन्स इंडस्ट्रीजने 67.9 6 दशलक्ष पाउंड (620 कोटी रुपये) च्या सर्व रोख व्यवहारांमध्ये नामांकित ब्रिटिश खेळणी निर्माता ‘हॅमलेज’ खरेदीची घोषणा केली आहे.

4. After a meeting of Commerce Secretary Anup Wadhawan and General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) Vice Minister Li Guo, India and China signed a protocol for exportation of Indian chilli meal to China.

5. Digital marketing platform SEMrush reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most-followed politician in the world on social media with a total audience of 110.9 million on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Former US President Barack Obama was ranked first with 182.7 million followers.

6. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella has announced the launch of “ElectionGuard”, a free open-source Software Development Kit(SDK) to help nations to carry out secure and verifiable voting.
