1. The illustrious Measles and Rubella Champion Award has been bestowed upon India in recognition of its outstanding endeavours to combat these venereal illnesses. The honour was bestowed upon the American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington, D.C., USA, on March 6, 2024, by The Measles and Rubella Partnership. The award was accepted on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, by Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Washington D.C.

In a significant move to strengthen incident management systems and provide timely assistance to accident victims on national highways, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HLL Lifecare Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW). The five-year agreement aims to reduce fatalities from road accidents and improve emergency medical response along the national highways.
