| 1. On July 13, 2026, the Submer Group of Spain announced that they will invest $2 billion in the Madhya Pradesh semiconductor industry. 13 जुलै 2026 रोजी, स्पेनच्या ‘सबमर ग्रुप’ने (Submer Group) मध्य प्रदेशातील सेमीकंडक्टर उद्योगात 2 अब्ज डॉलर्सची गुंतवणूक करण्याची घोषणा केली. या प्रकल्पामध्ये राज्यात एका सेमीकंडक्टर सुविधेचा आणि 1-गीगाबाइट क्षमतेच्या डेटा सेंटरचा समावेश असेल, ज्यामुळे अंदाजे 5,000 प्रत्यक्ष रोजगार निर्माण होतील. |
| 2. In July 2026 the United Nations published its first scientific assessment of artificial intelligence, under the title Preliminary Report of the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI. The panel, which has 40 members, is co-chaired by Turing Award winner Yoshua Bengio and Nobel prizewinner Maria Ressa.
जुलै 2026 मध्ये संयुक्त राष्ट्रांनी कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्तेबाबतचा (AI) आपला पहिला वैज्ञानिक अहवाल ‘Preliminary Report of the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI’ (AI वरील स्वतंत्र आंतरराष्ट्रीय वैज्ञानिक समितीचा प्राथमिक अहवाल) या नावाने प्रकाशित केला. 40 सदस्य असलेल्या या समितीचे सह-अध्यक्षपद ट्युरिंग पुरस्कार विजेते योशुआ बेंगिओ आणि नोबेल पारितोषिक विजेत्या मारिया रेसा हे भूषवत आहेत. |
| 3. On 12 July 2026, Ahmedabad created a Guinness World Record by planting 3.61 lakh or 361000 saplings in one hour at Bhadaj in Gujarat. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has implemented the plantation drive using the Miyawaki technique over an area of around 76,000 square metres.

| 4. The Central Vista redevelopment area in New Delhi will be known as the Kartavya Bhawan Complex or the Kartavya Bhawan Area from 12 July 2026. The renamed precinct includes government buildings, Kartavya Marg and future structures in the Central Vista zone.

| 5. NABARD’s 45th Foundation Day (13 July, 2026) saw the launch of Gramodyam. Gramodyam is an entrepreneurship development program for rural youth, aimed at supporting sustainable business creation in rural India.

| 6. Internet connectivity in Indian government schools increased from 46.2% in 2023-24 to 63.1% in 2025-26, narrowing the gap with aided and private schools from 28 percentage points to 16 percentage points. The UDISE+ report for the year 2025-26 also reported internet facilities in 67.4% of all schools in India compared to 53.9% in 2023-24.
भारतातील सरकारी शाळांमधील इंटरनेट सुविधांचे प्रमाण 2023-24 मधील 46.2% वरून 2025-26 मध्ये 63.1% पर्यंत वाढले आहे; यामुळे अनुदानित व खाजगी शाळांच्या तुलनेतील तफावत 28 टक्केवारीच्या मुद्द्यांवरून (percentage points) 16 टक्केवारीच्या मुद्द्यांपर्यंत कमी झाली आहे. 2025-26 वर्षाच्या UDISE+ अहवालानुसार, भारतातील एकूण शाळांपैकी 67.4% शाळांमध्ये इंटरनेट सुविधा उपलब्ध असल्याचे दिसून आले आहे, जे प्रमाण 2023-24 मध्ये 53.9% इतके होते. |
| 7. The Election Commission of India has included a declaration in the online Form 6 for fresh voter registration. The applicant has to mention whether his/her name or the name of a parent or grand parent was included in the last Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

| 8. Ladakh approved 17 new tehsils on 12 July 2026, increasing the number of tehsils in the Union Territory from 15 to 32. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has approved the re-organisation of tehsils and revenue villages in Ladakh.
