1. United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) decided to hold its 2020 high-level conference early June in Portugal’s Lisbon.

2. India Pavilion is set to be inaugurated at Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from 14th to 25th May 2019 in Cannes, France. I&B Secretary Amit Khare leads Indian Delegation to Cannes Film Festival.

3. On the 3rd day of his Vietnam visit, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the artificial limb fitments to the beneficiaries at the Embassy of India in Hanoi under India for Humanity initiative.

The Higher Education Department has strictly issued new norms for the University Grants Commission- funded scheme which are meant for the faculties of colleges and universities who pursue research. This order is issued after the detection of numerous violations by the beneficiaries of the scheme.

8. Mumbai Indians became IPL champions for the fourth time after defeating Chennai Super Kings by one run in a thrilling final in Hyderabad.

10. Urbane British actor, Clement von Franckenstein died in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to hypoxia at the age of 74.
अरबेन ब्रिटिश अभिनेता क्लेमेंट वॉन फ्रँकेंस्टीन यांचे 74 व्या वर्षी हायपोक्सियामुळे लॉस एंजल्समधील सिडर-सिनाई मेडिकल सेंटरमध्ये निधन झाले.
